Do you trust your auto correct?

I barely know how to use my mobile phone and I certainly don’t know how to text someone. I hear all sorts of stories about autocorrect and how it can be very ‘incorrect’ at times.
I heard today of someone who is now turning her autocorrect off because of this. Instead of sending off the message ‘I am enjoying eating polenta’, it sent ‘I am enjoying eating placenta’. What an embarrassing error.
So I’m wondering what is the funniest autocorrect that either you’ve heard of or that has happened to you.
The photo was a funny sign we saw in Melbourne once – in the days before COVID-19.

It got me last week, when I posted "Colour My World." It thought Terry Kath's name was "Terry Katy."

@DocAndersen Or maybe it's women's tops that are for sale.

@JudyEv let's hope they do, otherwise, it would be sexist!

The nice thing about it is when I type a letter or two and it predicts the word. I just have to touch the word and it is in my message. And it never changes the words I touch.
I hardly typed any full words here.
Very handy for my mystery shop.reports, as you use the same words often. So they pop up to select.

I don't have a smartphone nor do I use autocorrect; so I can't think of anything funny to add! :-) Have a great day.

@LindaOHio That's true and it's not always time-saving either.

@JudyEv Modern technology can be a major pain instead of being user-friendly.

Oh my God that was a good one! I can't remember the last time I screwed it up when writing having my autocorrect on, indeed it makes mistakes, but I usually read twice what I write before sending it, even more when it is in English language!

@JudyEv thanks Judy! I think it is the first thing that comes in mind to every non-native English speaker before sending a message, posing or tweeting! Lol

My sister gets a big laugh from my texts!! I like being able to speak the text as it is easier than trying to type out a long text. But, sometimes the words that are sent are not what is actually said. So, I feel it is my way of making people laugh or really think!

I don't trust my auto-correct at all. I have it turned off in my mobile phone.
That is a funny autocorrect.

I hate autocorrect because of how many times it puts the wrong word in. But I still use it because I have forgotten how to spell so many words. Here's a little autocorrect joke that I posted on my twitter feed once:
We'll, we'll, we'll, autocorrect strikes again!
