August 13 - What I'm Thankful for Today

We're still in August? Why isn't it September yet? Yes, I can't wait for this month to be over so I can get back to the pool. I really miss it.
Today has been a good day.
I'm thankful for Ibuprofen and the wonderful people who invented that painkiller. I woke up barely able to walk and within an hour, my leg was fine.
I'm thankful I have achieved my 10K steps. I'm not planning to be an overachiever today. We'll see. I still have two hourly steps to do. I'll get those done.
I'm thankful I didn't melt in the heat when I walked to Dollar General earlier. I have the battery in the kitchen clock.
I'm thankful for a good night's sleep. Even with a rough getting up, my sleep was good.
I'm thankful for ice cream. I eat dairy-free and it tasted so good when I got home from Dollar General. I applaud the maker of ice cream.
Okay, that's a snapshot of my day. I'm finished with the notifications. It's time for me to work on Vendetta for a little while. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

Oh no, not closer to Fall....because that means winter is near! Lol. But hopefully it will come soon so you can get back to the pool. Sounds like a good day there though, besides the pain....but painkillers can be a very helpful thing!

@just4him That's good that they are helpful. Yes, we do know that you enjoy winter :) But that's great. Cooler temps are great, but the unbearable cold is not something I look forward to lol

I am thankful for all the good things and bad that we are all experiencing because they all happen for a reason. God wants us to realize things we don't get to understand if we are in a negative mindset.
By the way, I love how your garden looks like. It's lovely to see plants and flowers alive. It means we all have to move on and be happy. :)

That's true. I completely agree.
The picture was taken at the Botanical Gardens two years ago. Thank you. I wish I could grow flowers like that.

Sorry that your knee was bothering you but happy that the Ibuprofen worked on making it feel better. I am ready for autumn and cooler weather. Usually this time in August I am over the heat and humidity for the year. I like your picture, it is pretty.

I use one of the nut milks, almond, or cashew when making mashed potatoes. Definitely not dairy and tastes so good. I can also buy a dairy-free sour cream that's very good.
I'm glad you found a way to make mashed potatoes that tastes delicious.
