My state, Western Australia, has only five active COVID-19 cases and all have come in from overseas. They are being quarantined in hotels. We are doing well but, of course, the danger is still there and we can’t afford to become complacent.
We went to lunch at a winery today with four friends. There was sanitiser at the door and the tables were some distance apart so I felt it was safe. It was nice to eat out after being denied the pleasure for so long.
I had barramundi (Asian sea bass), entrée size, as my meal. I was hoping I wouldn’t be the only one to want dessert but luckily everyone ordered. I had citrus cake with Crema Catalana Ice-Cream and Praline. It was as delicious as it looks.

@JudyEv when our cases was less than 10 we were relaxed with the travel policies. Now we are getting 3,000 to 6,000 cases in one day.

Yes even we sometimes recall eating out.
However that is now still far far away for the time being.

Yes they would be working extra hard. And may be the quality of service would have also improved a lot!

Yes Tourism and travel suffered a lot. So if people can relax and travel and local tourism benefits from it, it is quite great.

@JudyEv It is the time I get up Judy. It is a pity I do not have a farm as I would be early to milk the cows

@RebeccasFarm True. The poor dairy-farmers have to get up at an ungodly hour - and every day too! No sleeping in on the weekends.

@JudyEv Pralines always include nuts and sugar, American praline syrup and hazelnuts or pecans. Crema Catalana is always served in its clay pot, the sugar on top should be "burned" just before serving it. I know that "poetic license" is very common in restaurant menus in our days.

The only time we ate out, not in, was when we went to Cape Cod and stayed at our younger son's beach house during the hurricane a couple of weeks ago. I was pleased with the few customers and huge spaces between people. That dessert of yours looks delicious.

I only have fish if I'm out. I trust the chef has removed all the bones. I really don't like finding bones in my fish.
I always read the dessert menu before I order in case I need to go light with my mains. I'm not fussed about really heavy desserts but I like light, creamy ones or ones involving ice-cream. :)

Lunch sounds fantastic! I do love sea bass. THe trick my wife taught me is ordering dessert when no one else wants one?
saying "oh I'll take one to go for the kids"
it never made it home.
