I Missed A Day or Two

The best intentions...... Quarantine ended for us on Sunday at noon! Hurrah! We can get groceries, go for a walk, pick up the mail, and live a somewhat normal life again. This morning I made a quick trip to our local quilt shop to pick up a few supplies that I needed for completing projects. On returning home I quickly finished this "Pineapple" block. This one was also made from the photograph without purchasing a kit or a pattern. I am blessed to have a large cabinet full off assorted fabrics.

I am so glad you could finally go out, get grocery and have a walk. This pattern in the photo is beautiful.

I think the walking (more than just on our property) is what I missed the most.

So far normal has been busy. Each day seems to involve something I hadn't expected to be doing.

Normal is so different from six months ago. It's not even something big, but so many little changes.

I will probably still spend most of my time at home...but at least when I need to go out it won't be so difficult.

Having that stash kept you from being completely bored. We were never really prohibited from taking a walk, but we live in a rather sparsely populated area.

Having traveled outside the province meant a complete quarantine. With the general lockdown I went for a walk every day.

Is this a province quarantine or is it all of Canada? we have been out and about for months now but CT has a low rate of infection.

New Brunswick has the strictest policy for anyone who travels outside our province or the "Atlantic Bubble". We are OK with that as our province has had a very low number of cases and only 2 fatalities (both elderly). Not to minimize the demise of elderly patients, but they are more likely to succumb to any severe challenge to their health.

Yes, we had to self quarantine for 14 days after we returned to New Brunswick. We have a wonderful community that made sure we had access to what we needed. Many offers to pick up groceries....I even managed to purchase fabric and send it to my sister in North Carolina without ever leaving the house.

Nice pattern! Do some stores still ask you to wear masks when you're inside?

@Morleyhunt Even in Montana, people were required to wear masks in larger stores.

In Ontario any public building requires masks. In Bew Brunswock masks are not mandatory in all stores. Some stores require masks, but everywhere it is highly recommended.

Last night we had dinner with a friend from church. She is elderly and lives alone, so the social distancing has left her feeling very isolated.
