Did you know that today is National Dog Day? I didn't until I saw a friend's post on Facebook. I'm going to take a treat out to my dogs after I post this. I just wanted to alert you all so you could be spoiling your dogs today! Let me know what you are doing today for your dog's big day! Also, post photos in comments of your dog(s)! @just4him Those are some smart dogs! I have a couple of nieces that train the dogs for the blind. I don't see how they do it. You have to get attached and then your time period is up and you get another dog. I don't think I could do that!

@kareng I can't have cats. I'm allergic to them. I would like to have a dog, but in order to do that, it would need to be an emotional pet, or whatever they call them as pets aren't allowed in the complex.

He was actually a rescue from the flood in 2016. He was born IN the flood and an elderly couple rescued the mom and puppies. I got lucky and was at the right place at the right time!

Thanks, Angie. He's a little skittish around strangers but I think that has to do with being born in the flood of 2016. He bonded with me well and he's a keeper!

He is very sweet. He just has a hard time warming up to strangers. I guess that goes back to being abandoned in a flood.

@kareng No, I did not know it was National Dog Day yesterday. I would say those that own dogs and cat that it should be national pet day every day. I do not have a dog now so cannot post a picture of my dog.
