Since I'm on Social Security and it's my only income outside of what I earn here every month, I looked it up and saw what President Trump proposes regarding Social Security. It looks like it's safe for the time being, but change is in the air.

@just4him My son says that social security won't be there for him. That is sad because he pays into it. He won't get anything out of it.

He signed a bill to stop collecting for SS in the payroll tax. If congress and the senate did not steal the money (they call it borrowing and throw in an IOU but never intend to pay it back) the fund would not be in danger. We paid into it for many years.

@akalinus Yes, we did. We're entitled to that money. If Congress and the Senate approve seniors won't have anything to live on when they retire unless they earn enough to invest for their later years.

Uh, if your lawmakers decide to stop payroll taxes, there will be no more social security, it's true. I can't imagine anyone voting in legislators and a president who want to do that. I'm not voting for him, let's put it that way.
