As you know, my husband's birthday was August 20. Due to a couple of extenuating circumstances, we were unable to celebrate that day.
Part 1 of his birthday celebration took place last week when we took out Pizza Hut pizza. Part 2 was yesterday when I took him out to one of his favorite spots, Longhorn Steakhouse. He had his usual filet mignon; and I had chicken tenders. We were quite satisfied with our meals.
We usually draw out birthday celebrations for about a month; and hubs said he still wants to go to Red Lobster, have Chinese takeout and some spaghetti (either Olive Garden or our local Italian restaurant. That's OK because I have plenty of gift cards that I earned and Paypal cash. Texas Roadhouse is another fave of ours. Who knows? We may go there too even though it's a little further away.
I've been keeping busy MyLotting and working on jigsaw puzzles. I need to get back to downsizing and decluttering.
What have you been doing these days?

I've only had Mexican once. I should try more of that type of food. It should be OK if it's not really spicy or has onions in it.

It sounds like you both had a lot of fun and more fun in the future. I haven't been up to much lately. This week I have to go to the oral surgeon, Walgreens and then pick up my brother to take him home. I'm looking forward to having him home, but I dread it at the same time. Even though I know he's gone, this will definitely make it final, if that makes sense.

That's great you have celebrated by having pizza and then the steakhouse. Glad the meal was good! Texas Roadhouse sounds good...a town nearby me is supposed to get that restaurant soon....but it was delayed because of the virus.

Those gift cards to different restaurants come in handy! You would have some credit card bill celebrating b-days without using those cards. A nice way to get out of cooking I've been doing some grilling this weekend and sitting out in the sun on my deck.
