Another simple meal tonight for Porwest and the wifey. I am parbroiling some bratwurst in an IPA. I will cook those on the grill. With it we will have a salad. Just some lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and for good measure we will add some sliced pickled brussells sprouts as well to the mix. Top it off with some ranch salad dressing, shredded cheese, and croutons, and bacon bits and this should be delicious. For an additional side, we have some leftover chicken alfredo from Pizza World we will use up. Bon appetit. What's going on your dinner table tonight?

@porwest Aww I'm glad to hear At least you got to satisfy that craving. I would've really stocked up to bring some back to Illinois

It was. One can never go wrong with bratwurst, although they don't do bratwurst here in Illinois like they did back home in Wisconsin.

@Lushlala I travel back home on business (these days) every other month, and there are always things I pick up there. Just not bratwurst. But I could bring a cooler.

Bratwurst sounds good, haven't had one in a while. I had taco meat, sour cream and cheese. Almost no carbs for my dinner.

Good deal for you. We might have taco salad bowls sometime this weekend. We've got those thingamajigs that you put a soft tortilla in and harden in the oven in the shape of a bowl. Nice and crunchy and good. But of course those tortillas would have carbs.

@MommyOfEli2013 Yeah. In fact, that's what we tend to use, plus because they are also lower in sodium. We get them at Aldi for about $1.99 per pack.

@porwest Yes it was a great deal...added sugar free BBQ sauce too which made it even better. That sounds like a good meal - that is a great thing if you enjoy crunchy taco shells (or bowls). I could do that with the "low carb" tortillas.

@rakski Yeah. Not sure if bratwurst would be a thing in the Philippines, but you never know. They are very good if you can find them.

Sounds good, except for the pickled Brussels sprouts.

They are actually not bad, although this brand was a bit sour. The next time I am in West Allis I need to hit up the West Allis Cheese and Sausage Shop and see if they have a better one.

That sounds very good I love bratwurst. However, since I had none I had a hot dog.

Hot dogs are good too, and we usually always keep some in the house. We get like a 2 lb. package for under $4. They are good by themselves and cooked into other things. But bratwurst are definitely also superior.
