The way you smile
made me feel so loved
I’ve never felt so cold next to someone
I’ve never felt so distant
Your hand in mine
The way you smile
makes me feel so lonely

@nananathong_ I saw the this post and thought, OMG. And then I checked your profile and read your first post and then I was depressed. lol. It is what it is. I try not to be a nice guy around here, as many who know me here (and many know me here) will tell you. lol

Nice to read a poem here. I am a poet myself though I have not shared my poetry here. I publish it on my blog.
I felt emotion in your poem. And I was able to connect to the words a bit. It even felt like the poem could go on for at least another stanza.

In some ways, we should be the same person, as real love responds as itself at all times.
The real love in us should be allowed to respond in the same way, as of which real love responds.
And so, love responds the same way every time, to coldness, or to warmth, with itself.
Love responds equally so, but what we humans feel is what we feel.
We should compare what we feel to love, and let the love live in us, and the coldness simply fade away.
