My feet tell me that Fall is upon us in Northern California. as I sit at my desk in the mornings, I can feel the cool air. Our high temperatures are still in the 70s F (low 20s C), but early mornings tell all. Can you feel the change in the seasons where you live?

Yes! I have Reynaud’s syndrome, and the way I can tell it’s changing is I start getting cold after drinking a cold beverage (I shiver and my fingernails turn blue). So it’s almost tea season!

@TheHorse Colder than yours, that's for sure, especially the farther north you go.

I guess you get more sense of the seasons up there than we do down here. We should still be in the high 90s, but all this smoke is blocking the sun - and it's actually a wee bit cooler because of that. We are in smokey summer mode.

So far I haven't felt much of a change. But, then again for the past couple of weeks we've been getting daily rain. So it's felt muggy and sticky as a result. When my husband leaves for work in the mornings, he says he feels the change. I just, don't. Yet. I'm sure I will sooner or later.

@TheHorse here and there where there are ordinary trees but the palms won't change. And then will come Christmas and we'll have artificial trees surrounded by palms and suddenly I miss not only autumn but also snow in winter

@RasmaSandra Yep. I feel the same here in California. I'm glad I got a bit of snow on September 7 in Montana. That was my top secret birthday present.

@LindaOHio Yikes. I forgot that it was coming so soon. I hope people don't become depressed with Covid, wildfires, short days, and sketchy work.

Yes, we're in the high teens/low 20s C with more sunny days than rainy ones.
