Rosh Hashanah starts tonight

Tonight is the start of Rosh Hashanah, which is the Jewish New Year. My mom invited hubby and I for dinner tonight. It will just be us four as far as I know. She invited my brother and his family to come too, however, they won't be coming. My mom just came from a vacation last weekend and they want her to quarantine for two weeks before they see her. Tomorrow hubby's mom is doing something for the holiday. We won't be the only ones attending. Other relatives will be there. Even though it will just be family/relatives and no friends it will still be a lot of people there from what I counted, if every one of those people shows up. I hate a large crowd. It will be hotter in the room. Plus, there will be hardly any room to move at the table and I'll feel squished. As far as I know my parents were not invited as my mom didn't tell me anything about it. If they weren't invited, I am very surprised because they are family too.

Shanah Tovah! We won't celebrate it with anyone this year inside the house.

For Yom Kippur we are going to his aunt (his mom's sister). They do that every year.

My mother-in-law always invited us to celebrate the beginning of Rosh Hashanah. Shanah tovah, be safe.

@lovebuglena So how did it go? Did you successfully celebrate Rosh Hashanah without any major issues?

@moffittjc It was about 19 people there. There should've been more but they didn't come because of prior engagements. Can't say I had lots of fun but it was ok. Hubby's brother decided to bring his German Shepherd with him, which was a dumb idea. Thankfully, he took him home shortly after. I actually wrote a discussion about the dog at the gathering.

Thank you. Hopefully, it won't be a mad house at MIL's apartment.
