Chicken thighs on the grill. That is what is for dinner tonight.
I have the thighs thawing as we speak. They will be parboiled to start the cooking process and reduce the possibility of burning them. Plus it reduces the fat and prevents flareups.
I will pour just a wee bit of Worcestershire sauce over them. Then it is a bit of No Salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and a touch of Chef Jim's curry seasoning.
No, it's not MY curry recipe. It's just a brand I bought at one of the local flea markets a while back before this pandemic crap hit.
I always grill them bottom down almost the entire way. That is, I generally put them on the grill and let them cook from the bottom up. I rarely flip them.
Instead of BBQ sauce, I will slather them with some banana ketchup just before they are ready for serving.
Not sure what sides we are having yet. But either way, these will be DELICIOUS I am sure.

The seasoning is actually called Chef Jim's?
What does parboiled mean?
I love banana ketchup. My brother brought it once from his trip to St. Lucia. Not sure I've seen it sold here. I'd buy it.

@porwest However do you manage to find these old posts? I wonder what other unique ketchup exists out there aside from banana ketchup.
Chef Jim’s has a nice ring to it…

@porwest Do you have to do a lot of scrolling to get to posts from years past?

I think Chef Jim's might already be trademarked, so I'd have to come up with something else, but I like the ring to it. lol
Parboiled just means a precook of sorts. I do it with brats, Italian sausages and chicken a lot of times before I grill them. You just boil some water and put in the meat and let it "parboil" for about 10 minutes or so. It helps to partially cook stuff so when you put it on the grill, which is usually very hot, it doesn't burn the outside before the inside is cooked.
But yes. Banana ketchup is good. I have a bottle downstairs I need to bring up and open up.

That sure sounds good. I can't decide what I want to have for dinner, yet. I just know that the microwave will do the cooking tonight. It's been a long, rainy, productive day. About to run the dishwasher, because I think it's time. I usually run it twice a week.

@kaylachan They're really not. I actually enjoy them whenever we have them. I know they aren't healthy, but heck...every once in a while they are just fine.

Sounds good!
Dinner was grilled tofu and hotdogs. Odd pair but it hit the right spots!

It is really good, that is all I can say. I got turned onto it by @alexandoy a while back when he mentioned it in one of his posts. I have had several bottles of it now.
Speaking of Alex, I wonder where he is hiding? His last interactions were August 21st.

When I first heard about it, I thought it was made with actual bananas. There might be SOME banana in it, but I think it's mostly made from banana peppers. I don't find it tastes like a banana at all, which is good, because I don't really care for bananas. lol
