Early Morning Drinking Session

... and when I say early, I meant early! Woke up at around 8:40am today because of an early morning drinking session being done by neighbors. There were four of them and why they have to do it outside their home is beyond me. They had a table chairs, their alcohol, and food set up right in front of my parent's place. I guess it was a good post because of the shade provided by the tree on the side. The music that they were playing were old tunes from the 60s and 70s and the range of topics that they talked about were from the online classes and work from home jobs that their children or spouses were doing to the current state of the government to the NBA game that was playing this morning. They finished at around 2:00pm and by that time they were drunk as in slurring drunk. The only good thing about starting a drinking session early is you get to finish early, you get to sleep early, and you don't bother your neighbors with your late night drinking sessions shenanigans! What was the earliest that you start drinking either by yourself or with friends?

A drinking session at 8:40 am sounds insane, but as you say, at least they ended before the evening came. The earliest time I had a drink? I think 4 pm, during a formal party, I usually never drink before dinner time.

4pm sounds reasonable. I've drank during odd hours but I made sure I never bothered any neighbors.

@LadyDuck Perhaps if they were really rowdy and if they were causing a disturbance, someone would call the police.

@allen0187 I would never bother my neighbors, they are quick to call the police here. Now that I think, one of my neighbor is in the Custom Police.

Glad I don't live close enough to hear my neighbors. Not as long as the windows are shut anyway.

That's the disadvantage of townhouses, everything is so close to one another.

I am not a drinker but it is not good behavior my friend. Starting a drink in the early morning always gives a lot of health issues. Take care of yourself.

Wow that is to early for me to start drinking. I only have 2 to 3 drinks at most and i start at 4pm so that way I'm not up late having drinks and still get an early bed time if I can.

Almost 6 hours session. What have they learned from the session? Sounds like they have covered lots of topics ah.

Not sure what they learned but they did cover a lot of topics like a typical drinking session conversation goes.

I guess the cops are .lazy these days, I thought group drinking was forbidden. At least they had a great time.

They were drinking inside our village so I doubt if cops will show up unless someone reported them which I highly doubt.

That was so inconsiderate of them - i think I would have gone outside and asked them to go somewhere else.

I have done some early drinking sessions, but mostly it was when I worked second or third shift. Let's hope that was their reason. Either way, I can see where this may have been more than annoying.

Usually the earliest is after lunch. Sometimes you get invited to fiesta or but they usually during lunch. But still nice to go for a drink at night time.

Wow, this must be a problem that spans the whole world. Just on Monday my husband and I were driving along around midday when we stopped at a traffic light. We heard a commotion in the next lane and looked over - it was packed full of these young guys, no masks, no social distancing and STEAMING DRUNK. It's just sad.

It was a Sunday so I doubt if there were classes. Online work perhaps. Banned in our place, no. Liquor ban was lifted and there are a few drinking sessions but this one was really early.
