How You Feel When You See It

I was watching Live Rescue, and they were covering a car accident. It reminded me of seeing car accidents when I was a child, and how I felt. I always, always, felt like I was going to throw up. I never did, but I remember those feelings like it was yesterday. Did anyone else feel that way?

I was in a bad enough car accident about a year and a half ago . . . and another one a year before that. In both cases, they were not my fault. I remember the feelings vividly and it makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about it. Til this day, I cannot ever watch a video of it - not even news footage of one - those feelings just come back as if I'm reliving the incidents.

yes because i had a bus accident too. Good thing we were not wounded but our bus was about to fall into the deep, very deep ravine. Thank to the only tree standing in that spot. we were saved.

I feel a lot of anxiety when I see a wreck. I have not been in a real serious one, but I have seen a few.

I have never personally been in a car accident. But as an ex registered nurse I have often nursed patients who were in car accidents when I worked in the ICU. Some of these patients were in really bad shape and it was hard for me to explain what they were going through to their very upset family.... Of course I never threw up and pushed my feelings way down below so as not to upset the patient and their family. But one thing I remember vividly was that at least half of these car accidents were caused by drinking and driving....

For me its the rush of adrenaline whenever I hear an ambulance siren. And then I just feel weak afterwards.

I never saw any accidents as a child. I just always feel concerned and worried about the passengers.

When I lived behind the highway there was a bad accident and people were yelling they were cold. I went back in my house and got some blankets and handed them over the fence. I hoped it helped them.
