Reflections 'f a naughty cat

I know, 'tis jest doin' what cats do, feral 'r not - they chase, capture'n kill schtuff. Sure don't make me any happier with 'em goin' 'fter the birds nor the fish'n the pond.
The latter 'f which's proven futile 's the ferals dislike that dip 'nto cold, deep waters.
This's Mr. Boots. He's been soppin' wet more'n dry the past few days. The ferals 've ganged'p, scattered 'round the ponds edges. Hidin' 'mong the vines'n the ground, 's well 's those'n the arbor. Camouflaged quite well from lil 'nsuspectin' birds seekin' a drink 'n a bath.
've seen this particular feral leap from the rocks, twistin' mid-air, snaggin' the bird feeder 'n come crashin' down 'nto these chilly waters. Quite comical 's he clambers to the sides 'f slippery rocks tryin' to 'scape such. The kittens watch with great 'nterest.
This morn 'twas no diff'rent 's he lay'n wait, his entourage well placed. Whilst the pic looks 's though he 'twas watchin' one 'f my fish swim by, I believe he 'twas 'ctually watchin' the flurry 'f birds 'bove, teasin' from the reflection.

Very pretty cat. You would think he would learn to stop that jump

@crazyhorseladycx I would have laughed as long as he was ok. I think that is how poor Squeak broke her back. She was always climbing the tree trying to catch birds. Have a feelin she bounced off a branch coming down after missing one.
You are feeding a lot more than I am. 40 pounds lasts me about 2 weeks.

@crazyhorseladycx I do wish we were a little closer at least. I would have lived at your place until I had him caught when he was a kitten

he looks hungry? if'n all feral cats got treated so well, lol. he aint hungry, none'd be. they're free-fed, can eat when/what they wish 24/7. we've a couple 'f big feeders fer such. 'twas watchin' those birds'n the trees via their reflection'n the waters. the fish jest happened by's i snapped the pic :)

the cat's reflection has a red mark, maybe it means something. The cat thinks to hunt a fish or something that involves blood :-)
There is a youtube video of photos taken with unexplained figures that appear on them. They claim those are ghosts. Who knows :-)

@stringer321 yepperz, they all hunt quite oft. 's said'n the discussion, mr. boots's been tryin' to stay dry 'f late 'fter havin' takin' many crashes 'nto the pond with 'ttempts to snag lil birds from the branches 'bove 's well 's those 't the waterfall.

my 'pologies fer my late response, seemed to've missed this somehow? the red mark'd 'ctually be one 'f my fish'n the pond. 'tis not red, but a purty 'ntense orange that with the shade kinda turns to fiery.
no ghosts here :) i'd been watchin' mr. boots 's he followed the movement 'f the birds 'bove via the reflection'n the pond. the fish jest happened to swim by's i snapped the shutter.

the water 'tis 3' deep 'n they wish not to get wet. i don't feed the fish, so they're leery 'f any shadows - fer their safety. years 'go i hand fed 'em. they'd swim 'nto any hand put'n the pond seekin' food. 'twas their detriment 's an egret came by 'n easily picked 'em off one by one. i 'twas heartbroken.

Oh how sweet and perfect Mr. Boots is . . . but he is feral? I mean, he doesn't look like a typical feral cat anyway. It seems like a peaceful moment, but surely Mr. Boots has all these thoughts swimming around that pretty head . . . beit the fish or the reflection of birds!

yes ma'am, he's feral. they're all well fed's we've a free-feedin' gizmo out fer 'em. they jest hunt anythin' that moves, 's 'tis their nature. all the feral's 're quite plump, with gorgeous coats 'n great health.
i love catchin' 'em like this. seemin' to be'n deep thought, a dual reflection :)

yes ma'am, he's a handsome fella. he seems to be a tad clumsy 't such, though no doubt 'tis successful. i think i read somewhere that they get what they'd be 'fter with the odds 'f 1'n 10?

My cat likes to jump up and down on things and chase flies inside, but, on the porch she was on a table and it was hard for her to jump down from it.

Something must have happened that I do not know about. It could have been before I got her. She was outside one time and when I discovered she was not inside with me and saw her on the roof of this house in front of our building I tried to get her to come down and she would not. She was frightened of something. I told her to go to the porch of those below me thinking I could get her back from the porch and not have to ask them to open their door so can get her, but, she would not come to me. Inside she jumps up and down all the time. So, I believe something is frightening or traumatized her so I told her not to worry and if she does not want to jump down from a table on the porch that is ok. She will just come back on me and jump down from there. I do not want to traumatize her anymore. I want to try and give her a better life than what she had.

Cats are such curious creatures and like their relatives the tiger, have excellent hunting extinct. Which reminds me of my friends house cats who had a wild streak and were terrific at catching prey. The poor squirrels, chipmunks, mice and birds never had a chance

that they'd be. any movement catches their 'ttention quickly, e'en if'n they've a full belly the hunt 'tis'n. that'd be the troubles here, when 'twas jest 5 'twas not that bad. but now their numbers're 'bout 20 'r so.
i join ya'n yer sadness o'er such.
