There are still robins

My daughter left around 8:30 this morning. I decided to catch up on some mowing after she left. Birds usually like when I mow, especially robins. I had a lot of them in my yard looking for bugs I had disturbed when mowing. It was decently warm, but over cast skies. I sent a large container of under ripe tomatoes with my daughter, so the family will enjoy them this week. Her husband and kids were in Nebraska at his parent's house. When she got back there they packed everything up and are headed home to Minnesota. My son-in-law is the youth group leader at church so they needed to be back home Sunday In addition to the bed, and the tomatoes, I gave my daughter some books about crafting and sewing. I also loaned her some others. We had fun, even if it was still a very short visit.

She will. It is a family of six, someone is always hungry and someone is always making things.

You know, I have never made those. Hubby seems to think he would like them. I used to make green tomato mincemeat for my first husband to enjoy in cookies, because his grandmother made those.

I had not seen any in a while. Truthfully, being back at work keeps me from seeing as much nature as I used to.

I do not know what bugs they prefer. I saw a variety of spiders today while I worked outdoors.

@TheHorse Could be. One was on my shed door. Popped out to see me when I opened it to get a craft table out.

It is coming up to winter where they live and they try not to travel when the weather can be really rough. I hope we can figure out how and when to visit them.

I have not seen my son-in-law in ages. I saw the grandkids in March. They were here just as everything shut down. They went home and self quarantined.

She is a great kiddo. I say that, knowing that she is forty and not a child. I love who she has become.

I suspect they are here year round. I am not spending as much outdoor time right now. I know I have seen them in January and February.
