Had to Leave myLot and Town Today

We couldn’t bear the noise today. The neighbor across the street was having a new driveway put in and the noise was horrendous. To top that off, they had siding put up on their house at the same time. The hammering was at least drowned out by the trucks.
Our next door neighbors had their 4 car garage worked on and basically rebuilt.
Our deck steps were put into with lots of sawing.
The lawn care company arrived early and the riding mowers and leaf blowers did us in.
Hubs and I went to our happy place ~ the seashore. It was a hot dat here and perfect for a long walk.
When we finally returned home to prepare dinner, the noise was gone and our son surprised us with a happy and quiet visit.

And I don't blame you one bit, I hate noise such as these various building projects. I love peace and quiet, it's what I enjoy most in life.

Glad you could get away. I could see where that would deffently be annoying. When I lived in apartments, I had to deal with all kinds of noises. Now that I have a house, it's so quiet. When I'm inside, unless I'm by the front door or on the couch, I barely hear a thing.

That's funny. Today it is bright and sunny. Yesterday, we had off and on rain. When we had those showers this morning, I expected today to be the same. But, nope. So far, warm, bright, and sunny. At least today is quiet for you, except for the rain of course.@DianneN

@kaylachan So glad the weather turned out sunny for you today.
I placed two different online orders for groceries and finally everything has been sanitized and put away. Now I can begin enjoying my Friday at 2:46PM.

Our condo in Florida can be a noisy place when someone is doing construction or deliveries, etc. happen.
We live in a house when not in Florida on a quiet street. Unfortunately, everyone, including us, decided to have work done all at the same time. It was in the upper 70s yesterday, so the windows were opened. Otherwise, it would have been a dull buzz and still annoying. It's raining today and all is quiet

At times, it is best to leave a place for some time if there is so much of noise. I recall having lived in some places where construction work was going on in the vicinity and it could be a big nuisance a lot of times.

I hope that you can find some ways to have some time away from noise on a daily basis. Or may be in a room in your house with relatively lesser noise coming from the outside?

When it’s too noisy I get away, too. (Or, for no reason at all.)

It was bizarre here with that noise. When hubs made the suggestion, I grabbed a mask and ran out of the house.
My son had us screaming in front of our house. He is so funny and we probably disturbed the entire neighborhood with our laughter. He lights up our lives.
