About To Sign Off And Get Some Lee's

Most of the time when one thinks of fried chicken one thinks of places like Kentucky Fried Chicken, Church's, or Popeye's.
Popeye's was actually my favorite for many years.
But then one day I moved to southern Illinois and found a place called Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken, and I must say it is the best fried chicken I have ever eaten.
Needless to say, I have been craving some Lee's for quite some time. Probably a month or so, but have not gotten any.
But tonight that's it. I can stands it no longer. (Yes, I said that like Popeye, no pun intended referencing Popeye's chicken which I will not be getting).
I am a bachelor tonight as my wife is off on a trip, and while I could have cooked something, I am going to get Lee's.
Hmm. Now, what to watch on TV tonight? Usually when I am in the hotel rooms on my business trips it is Fox News all night. But maybe I can find a healthy marathon of Forensic Files tonight?
That's an awesome show by the way, and I never get tired of it.
So, I am about to sign off. I will see y'all and respond tomorrow. I think I am off to Lee's for some of their fried chicken and some yummy sides, and if luck has it...
I will watch multiple episodes of Forensic Files.
Goodnight all, and see you all on the other side.

Never heard of Church's so that name never comes up when I think of fried chicken. I've tried KFC once but I prefer Popeyes. Have yet to try their chicken sandwich though. And now a new Popeyes opened up near me.

@porwest When I go to Popeyes I usually get their combo, which includes two pieces of chicken (a drumstick and a thigh I think), a biscuit (which I never eat lol), and a coleslaw. And that's pretty filling for me. A bucket of chicken is too much.

@lovebuglena The thing with me is if I am going for fried chicken, it's the fried chicken I want and nothing else. Aside from a few sides. And leftovers are always great. Lots you can do with them. Take them for lunch at work. Make chicken salad. Make a casserole. I try to get all I can out of it.
I can get a chicken sandwich anywhere. When I am craving fried chicken and go to a fried chicken place, they can keep all of the other offerings. I only want the fried chicken.

Thought you were going to get Lee’s sandwich (vietnamese Banh mi). There’s a chicken spot I want to visit but it’s always packed , Raising Canes

@porwest I haven’t been yet but would love to try Raising Canes. Always busy and long drive thru lines.
They got boneless fried chicken? :)

@infatuatedbby I think they do. I have heard good things about the place. Just none very closeby, so we'd have to make it a point to go somewhere where there is one.

That does look yummy. Popeyes is still my favorite in terms of fried chicken, but I would be open to a new favorite.

@snowy22315 Bojangles for whatever reason seems familiar to me, but I have never eaten there. I'd be willing to give it a go for sure though.

There is no fast food that can beat my mom's chicken and Korean Drama Marathon every weekend.
Hope you enjoyed your chicken and TV show.

Quincy, to this day, is a favorite of mine. Not sure if anyone does reruns of that one currently, but I may have to find it.
As for Forensic Files, it's usually on HLN these days, and it's basically a documentary show highlighting murder cases and what not and how they used forensics to find the killer. It's a great show and worth checking out if you can find it.
Popeye's mashed potatoes and gravy were GOOD.
