One good thing about living in Hawaii was we never changed the clocks. Meanwhile, most of the rest of the country (Arizona being the other smart state that doesn’t fool with it) will — just when we need extra light in the afternoon — will set their clocks back so we have nighttime at 4:30.

Elvis could sure get some great bass riffs in his 70s music. Here it’s Tommy Cogbill, a session musician who, among other things, played on the classic Dusty Springfield song “Son of a Preacher Man.”
The song itself came from the pen of the late Tony Joe White, best known for his one-hit wonder smash “Poke Salad Annie.”
As usual, Elvis made it his own.

@FourWalls Ha. Toby Keith sang it when he did his first Incognito Bandito show at the Fillmore in NYC. That was the first time I had ever heard it.

Good one! I came across this Elvis chestnut while searching Baby songs. Have you heard this one?

I'm not familiar with this one. I wish the whole country would adopt not changing the clocks back. It gets dark too early!
