I’m not Making This Tonight!

Too much happened this afternoon in order for me to make a nice dinner tonight. I went for a second walk this afternoon with my husband. We ran into neighbors and wound up walking and talking with them for over two hours. I received a delivery from my favorite store after using my hefty gift card on Thursday. I now have a new pair of Hunter rain boots, a black cashmere sweater with silver snowflakes for being stuck here for the winter, a crisp white shirt with a black silk ribbon, black silk slacks, navy silk slacks with a matching navy blue cashmere cardigan and matching tee, and some Saturday night nighties. My gift card didn’t go far enough, but came close. Then to top off my day, our younger son stopped by for a long visit and lots of laughs. At least it was nice and warm to enjoy the day, but left no time for cooking. Hubs just ordered a pizza.

Pizza is yummy that’s why my husband and all the kids had tonight. I had two quesadillas as their pizzas had meat on it so I didn’t want any. It sounds like a fun day and worth the delay in cooking that. My husband hates my boots. I picked out a pair I liked at a store the other day and asked what he thought and he said he hated them. I rarely find any boots I like so I was frustrated. I told him I’ll just wear my other boots he hates for another year then

@DianneN he has such blah taste. He’s also starting to like styles for himself that are very old man like. He’s only 34 he needs to wait a while before giving in to those styles. Pretty soon he will be wearing Velcro shoes.

Pizzas are loved by all and so easy peasy when pooped. If the Italian restaurant was Mexican, I would have ordered quesadillas. Love them, too. Wish I could see your boots. I'm sure they are gorgeous. What do men know anyway?

Getting clothes and shoes in the mail is not my favorite thing to do, but I trust Saks 100%. I get free shipping and free returns right from the house. Everything fit!!! Last night we ordered a sausage pizza.

@DianneN Of course I can, but I have to plan many hours in advance, sometimes it's nice to have one delivered at your home, sit down and eat. I have to walk to the tennis courts (2 minutes from here) and check how it is the new place they opened there, they have a real pizza oven there.

I had a baby blue cashmere sweater when I was in high school. I about wore it out. I’ve never had one again, but if I do black sounds lovely.

I have a baby blue one in my closet, but it doesn't look so hot these days like my old black ones.. Black goes with everything and looks so nice with white.

No, the neighbors live next door and wore masks. We social distanced ourselves as we always do when we chat with them. I cooked that almost 5 pound chicken last week.
