Another Gorgeous day in Michigan

But later in the week temps will drop twenty some degrees. It's supposed to be 75 F today I heard but by Thursday back to a more normal temp of 40 F. Still weather and temps easy to work in but will be putting the shorts back away.
Not that I've been wearing shorts as I'm usually cold until it gets to eighties, but I've seen a lot of girls and women along with guys wearing shorts this last week. Shorts and flip flops.
I'm in my car waiting for my crew to finish cleaning windows and then I want to head to work early to find some new slippers before starting work. I also need to talk with the secretary to see if she will hear about whether I get cleared for part time short term disability or how long it may take for the clearance. I need to be off my feet half my day to get my feet elevated so my wound will heal faster.
How's your Monday going so far?
Edit: starting today I'm working only four hour shifts. Next week I'd get paid for the other four I'm not working but it was suggested that I try to get two weeks off so my heel and the wound can heal

@rebelann thanks, so do I since I keep putting money into shoes that don't fit. These I can wear sixty days to check them out if I understand it right.

I got the partial clearance just waiting on the full restrictions. I'm also getting new shoes on Thurs and going they will help and not rub or pinch the wound.

Before we had the corona while I was dressed in layers or warm clothes I would see men walking around with shorts and sandals in Jerusalem. Take care of yourself.

It's common for some men to wear shorts in the middle of winter here even with snow on the ground.

@Hannihar yes, I believe the majority are larger guys and their inner temp must run higher than ours. I know some heals that are the same way even though they might be any size.

I always wondered when I would see men here doing that and I was freezing watching them and wondered if they are warm in winter so dress that way.

@MarshaMusselman - Our weather is pretty consistent. It changed recently but that was because of all the hurricanes. We get the indirect impact of what's happening in other states or cities. But for the most part, Austin's weather is absolutely fabulous!

I got the okay today to work limited hours and may be able to get a Dr to give me complete time off for a bit.

@DianneN thanks. I'm hoping it works out. I'll know Thurs. Otherwise it would be Monday. I know my regular dr would agree. But, it would be easier if I didn't have to have him go thru the hoops and it would mean a few extra days working.

It's colder in our house too. Isn't that funny how it works? And then if the temps get closer to Rights it's almost unbearable inside unless you have air.
I just talked with the secretary and she suggests me having a few weeks off to heal up faster before working the four hour shifts until it's healed.
I have to wait until tomorrow to call the various Drs

it is going fine. I was flipping channels last week and saw the 20 degree temperature drop on the weather channel. I suppose it will come here too..but not immediately...warm for the next several days although the temp is going to be decreasing a bit over the next few days.

Thanks. The part-time hours would only be temporary and I'd be paid four hours per day if it clears. But, at this rate I might be healed up by then.

That temp is between spring and summer here too. It's the latest and warmest and longest Indian summer we've ever had before that I remember.
