Lavender syrup in my coffee

So, I never heard of lavender syrup..I guess maybe it is in the same category as "elderflower" however, I had some in my coffee today, and it was really pretty good. I was wondering if it was supposed to be in tea, but now I look online and it seems it is a popular thing with coffee. Who knew? I guess I do now... Have you ever had lavender in your coffee?

Nope. I just do the normal chocolate cream and sugar. I've had lavandar bars, though. Now, those are good.

I never have any kind of flavored coffee, I grind lavender flowers and mix to sugar to make some cookies and muffins.

I haven't heard of it. I'm glad you like it in your coffee. I tried a lavender cookie a few years ago and found lavender doesn't sit well with me. It's a nice fragrance, but not one I can eat.

@snowy22315 On Washington Island where I visited with my friend, they have lavender farms. They sell many items made from lavender, not least is food. They have cookies and ice cream among other tasty items. My friend ordered several cookies the first time we were there and gave me one. That was the last time I ate anything with lavender in it. It didn't sit right with me. That building is the store where they sell all kinds of merchandise.

No, I do not put syrups in my coffee, as I do not like it sweetened. I can see where it would be relaxing, though. I would consider putting lavender buds and leaves in when I brewed. I have had teas that had lavender. I like them. Hubby thinks they taste like soap.

Never have lavender in anything except perfume. Would be an interesting experience for me. How's the coffee smell? Lavender supposed to smell nice right?

I had Lavender tea before. The Lavender taste was a little too strong. It felt like I was drinking air fragrance solution.

@snowy22315 I'm not a 'real' coffee drinker. Their coffees were always too strong for me. Mostly I'd have hot chocolate.
