Tea, anyone?

We went into our nearest city, Bunbury, today to pick up a photo book we’ve had printed. While we were looking for something else, I spotted this cup and saucer which we then bought as a Christmas gift for Vince’s sister. I’ve put a teaspoon beside the cup to give you some idea of the size. It’s not meant to hold liquids as it has a hole in the bottom. It’s meant to be a decorative container for a plant. The flowers on it are banksias. I hope she will like it. I’m thinking it might be a nice gift for my sister too.

@JudyEv i think I would have said 'the lady endurance rider' or just 'the endurance rider' - the 'lady rider' could be misconstrued lol

@Fleura Good point. I wrote about her earlier and was going to leave it as 'endurance lady' but then the fingers carried on. That's my excuse anyway.

It's very pretty, Judy. When you said for a plant I thought it was rather s small but didn't notice the teaspoon until you mentioned it. It is larger than it appears first glance and have a matching saucer too. I want one, lol.

Thanks. It probably has a 10" diameter at the top. The saucer will catch any water that drains out too.

That is so beautiful. I used to collect tea cups and saucers but only have four now due to space. I have made plant stands with them for outside before. She's going to love this.

I’ve seen those tea cup planters. They’re very cute (and quite large, as you point out). The ones I’ve seen aren’t that decorative, though. We have no imagination here in America.
