Fear of the past

Good evening friends It's 10:25 pm and I'm feeling sleepy, I think I'll go to bed soon. I didn’t have a lot of commitments today, so I did the training. I'm watching a movie, and it's not interesting, but I think I'll wait for the end. The mother leaves the child to the father, and he takes care of her until she is 7, when the mother appears and wants to take his daughter away. I am angry when I watch such a movie, because I can't imagine it happening to my son, leaving me and going to my father. Are there any things from the past that scare you?

The only thing that scares me is when I look in the mirror and see my reflection! lol

@Nevena83 It was hard for the man but he was a sensible man and he adjusted. The happiness of his children was very important to him.

I try not to think to the past, better to forget and move on. I think that your son is old enough now, you should not worry.

@LadyDuck A few days ago, he stopped the car several times, letting his daughter ask if Philip was there. But he was not there. I am furious that someone is waiting for a child to become an adult to start approaching him.

The past always bothers me. I'm not sure I'd put up with his father starting to approach him.

I'm sure that kind of movie would be scary to think about. I can't think of any right now.

Yes, that movie really worried me and made me angry. I know, now all that matters is that you fully recover.

@CarolDM I don't know the details, so please don't blame me for the question, but was his father present in his life?

I do not think of the bad things in my past. I live for today and care about what is happening now in my life.

I try to leave the past in the past but sometimes something will trigger a memory and bring back those feelings

My grandmother used to say that you should never look back (to the past), but I never succeeded in that. I think I've always lived in the past.

Yes, that happens to me often, so over time I learned to avoid such movies, but I started watching this movie by accident and I was interested in what would happen, but I felt bad.

Movies have the same effect on me...I should just get into the story but cannot help but relating it to my own life.
