My Blue Pine Plant

Before I go out shopping, I want to share my masterpiece. I planted my blue pine plant and got it for only $2.07 here in my neighborhood. A neighbor is selling his plants at a cheaper price. It is supposed to be a tree, but it is a bonsai type. Do you like bonsai plants? Any new plants at your place?

That is nice plant you have. I know they can grow wide and you can just adjust or trim them from time to time you you can have a good form. My Grandfather used to make bonsai plants too. He would put on some wires to the young and soft branches to somewhat train the branch to a certain position after sometime he would remove it and it would looked like it is an old tree but grew up small.

@rsa101 I wish I can have the talent of doing it. I found the culprit who stole it. It's our tenants before.

I had seen some bonsais that have wires. I had a favorite bonsai before that formed as a tree. Unluckily, it was stolen.

My dad has created bonsai plants ever since I can remember. He still does it - and there are many, big and small, in their yard. Wow, that is a super cheap price!

@Shavkat Like any art, it takes time . . . my dad would say it is a lifetime of learning - something one never perfects. We know of bonsai that cost hundreds of dollars.

I hope I can learn how to do it. That being said, I would not buy bonsai plants anymore. It was hard bargaining at first, eventually, the seller gave in.

I think it is easy since they need some water and be on the shades as much as possible.

@Shavkat We bought my mother one for her 70th birthday. That was in 1980. It was expensive even then.

Jus weed, and finally dry grass from all the rain. The trees are thinning due to the cooler weather.

I can feel the coldness there. It must be troublesome because of this rainy weather.

It is. It's not good on joints and whatnot. This time of year, I tend to take more pain meds than other times. @Shavkat

No plants here. But I'd like to have a snake plant here at home since it's a good indoor plant to have - according to my friend.
