November 26 - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today turned out to be a very good day. Not everything went according to plan, but almost. I intended we would eat together, that didn't happen, though it did get in the oven.
I'm thankful my son and grandson came to change the living room around and set up my new recliner. With both of them working together, it didn't take long to get the living room rearranged and then get the recliner put together. My son and grandson tried it out first. They both love it. So, do I. I could easily fall asleep in it.
As promised these are two of the before and after pictures. There's one more I'll show in another post from another angle getting the end table with the plants in the picture.
With all the work involved, I needed a painkiller for my back, which held up better than I expected. Hopefully, it means it won't be long now before it's completely healed.

they sure 'nough did a fine job gettin' that all worked out :) lovely seatin' area now. so glad yer chair 'tis comfy, though a lil concerned 'bout'cher back.
ya know me, i'm thankful fer e'en the tiniest blade 'f grass, e'en that which's dormant.

Yes, it's very nice the way it is. I overdid it with my back yesterday. I had a rough night. I just took a painkiller because I have therapy in an hour and that will be hard on my back too.
I know you're thankful for the grass lying dormant until moisture hits it.

@crazyhorseladycx I only took the knickknacks off the window seat and coffee table that sat on top, so they could move it with ease. Even that much work was hard on my back. I also arranged it all when they left, though I did give my back some rest before I arranged it again.
I hope you'll have the lushness you're looking for when the spring rains come.

@just4him all that bendin'n stretchin' to get 'em all perhaps? i know my sweet momma 'tis still feelin' badly with her back 'fter makin' fixin's fer turkey day :( which adds to my guilt coz i 'lways (when well 'nough) go o'er to help with such.

@just4him No problem, and that is very nice to hear. I need to do some rearranging tomorrow so we can get our Christmas tree out - it's 5 or 6 ft so definitely need to make some room.

Thank you. It's a lot nicer. They had other plans so couldn't stay. Maybe for Christmas.

Thanksgiving I got to go to my great aunt's house. Some of the family was there. I got to see her house decorated.
