Do any of you myLotters sell items online? What website do you use? What items do you sell? How do you figure out shipping? Any tips would be appreciated. I know I can search YouTube for the answers to these questions, but I would love to know your advice. Bonus question: Do any of you sell on Poshmark.com? Thank you in advance! I have sold on ebay in the past. I just sat shipping at actual. For that you can have it weighed and estimated at the post office.

Do you realize how time-consuming that would be for each item at the post office?

Selling online is a good business to start. In our country, we can display our products on some online stores such as Lazada. But you can also build your own website. There are many templates available online that you can use. But if you want to sell without setting up a website, you can do it by using other existing platforms. You can also make use of Facebook or Instagram.

How can you sell something on your own website? I have no knowledge of how to handle purchases.

Register on a site called Nextdoor. It is local and people can come pick up items or you can meet them somewhere no shipping

If you belong to Facebook, you can use your local yard sale sites to sell. They are very active and a good source, no shipping. Marketplace on facebook gives you even more of a chance for sales. You can arrange meeting people at a safe place, daytime, well-lit, public places. Many towns suggest meeting in a police department parking lot, or somewhere that there will be cameras. I have bought and sold a lot of items that way and never had an issue.

I've tried Shopee a couple of times. Just some local product. Not sure whether it's available in your region. We need to know the weight of the items we're selling as Shopee will put the shipping cost based on that. I am no longer an active seller there, just an active buyer nowadays.

@Spontaneo I use the digital kitchen scale. Supposedly any scale will do and I already have that one.

I know what you mean. How would I be able to take all items to the post office to get an idea of what to charge each for shipping ahead of time?

I sell online. I use Craigslist. I used to use eBay as well. But I got tired of the packing that precedes shipping.

I am just not good enough. I think I am just going to donate somehow. My church has 2 boxes... one for clothes and one for groceries. My enormous amount of cookbooks just may have a happy home in the food box. Atleast I may be free of cookbooks, right? I did think of shopping for some clothes for Christmas for the clothing box. Am I making any sense?

I haven't tried selling items online .But I know there are legit sites that can help you post your items. Shipping terms and payments I guess should be discussed with your courrier of your choice they have options I guess for online sellers.

Poshmark is only available in the US but I guess it's similar to the Facebook Marketplace as you can meet the buyer/seller in person instead of worrying about shipping. Instagram also has a marketplace. The post office or express couriers should have most shipping costs displayed on their websites and they're likely to provide "packing" materials too.
