Mickey has not been eating much cat food

I notice that Mick is not eating much when I feed the cats.
Bob knows why.
He has spotted Mickey eating a mouse.
Mickey will joyfully go to the empty field across the road. He leaps and travels through the tall, dry grass. He ducks down and skulks after things.
Tinker bosses him around in the house, but in secret Mick is the mighty hunter.

Cats in general aren't huge eaters. They like to hunt and kill things. Just part of their nature. As long as he's healthy and doing fine, I wouldn't worry about the amount of cat food he's eating.

He is a smaller cat, anyway. However he would "tell" me he needed food and then not eat.

My cat Mindy would stalk and catch birds, which my father didn't like! We were next door neighbors:)

@GardenGerty Catching rodents is fine. My cat went after birds, which isn't good!

I have the feeling that wouldn't stop my Nico. That boy loves to eat!

Some people say if you feed your cats they will not chase mice, but I have never had that problem.

At first it seems gross, but then I am reminded we are talking about cats. He seems to know where to find what he wants!

He sounds like he knows how to hunt too. I hope he enjoyed his mouse.

I have always had indoor outdoor cats. If he was indoors he would help make sure there were no mice. I have not had any, though.

If they survive they just find their way back to your place.
