I MAY be quarantined and I am CERTAINLY bad tempered

Those two statements are not related. We have a teacher who had a fever. She was at school yesterday. They are testing her for covid. She often gets sinus infections so that may be the problem instead. We will know Sunday. People who assisted kids in her classroom yesterday, or the other 4th grade classroom, because they team teach will all have to quarantine. The students will go remote until Christmas. The thing is, I do not believe I set foot in her classroom yesterday, because I went to my PT appointment. I did talk to her briefly, outside, at a distance, on the playground. The principal thinks I will be exempt even if she does have the virus. So that is the MAYBE. I will know by Sunday. Now for the bad tempered part. In October I renewed and upgraded my Sam's Club membership, or so I thought. They do not seem to have a record of it. The entire reason I was doing this was so that I could order and have things shipped to me for free. I would save my energy, save gas, and I was working on placing my first order. Their website is a mess. They say my membership is expiring in nine days. They say I only paid ten dollars for an upgrade to the end of my membership this month, but I am pretty certain I renewed and upgraded. We do not have the receipt--that was two months ago. We do have the check number and date. So, Bob is going to go in and talk to the membership desk tomorrow. Defeats the purpose of not having to drive an hour to get there. We may permanently end our relationship with Sam's Club. They cannot get the toilet paper we prefer anymore. Member's Mark. That is why I kept my membership, really. Oh and they will not ship the white vinegar that I use in all my cleaning. I cannot go, I am supposed to be quarantined, until I hear otherwise. So they are safe from my bad temper. Wish me luck on both accounts.

Argh and argh. It's that time of year too when people come down with stuff . . . I do hope for that teacher that it's just the normal thing and not the virus. Sam's Club - at least you do have your check proof - but it is frustrating to pay for certain services and you don't get those services. Good luck on both!!

You know, I am okay regardless of what happens. I will just shop more often at Aldi if I am not going to Sam's. I wanted to drop the membership last year as it is too inconvenient, but hubby did not agree.

@much2say Smaller places are easier on my energy and not so filled with contagious people.

Sunday is long away. Some contacts might already meet someone else by that time. I hope her result come back as negative though. Finger cross!

This is why they warned us. They told us to consider ourselves quarantined.

I wish that the teacher is Covid free, so you do not need to quarantine. About Sam Club... how did you pay for the upgrade/renewal? If you paid online you must have the proof through a credit card or PayPal I suppose.

@LadyDuck They explained it to my husband, but I dislike the misunderstanding two months ago. They were not clear. We just cancelled the membership and I feel happy about it.

I was in person and I used my debit card. We have proof that I paid some money, but they are saying that was not what it was for.

I guess she has the virus, because the class is going remote. Now they just quarantine ten days. She probably did not have a fever Thursday, cause we check when we come in the door. She likely came to school Friday and they found out she had a temp. Sam's Club is not worth the bother for me. They do not make things as transparent as they should. We just dropped the membership rather than renew. He took the bank statement with him.

@GardenGerty that'd be the scary part coz i've read that one can transmit the virus 'p to 48 hours prior to havin' any symptoms 't all. i do wish her a speedy recovery 'n keep fingers crossed nobody else contracted such from her. i gave'p with those folks years 'go.

I can understand why you are upset. I keep wondering each year if I should keep renewing my Costco executive membership. It's thirty miles away. We get there about once a month on the average when everything is normal. I don't think it would be worth it is they didn't carry things I can't get anywhere else.

My final straw is that they no longer carry their toilet paper, it was the best. It is an hour or more drive to get to any Sam's Club from here.

When the covid exposure would have occurred for me I was gone from the building to go to PT. I had wanted to drop our Sam's Club membership last year. This finally convinced my husband.

I think it’s time you give up Sam’s Club. Sounds very inept of them to make all those mistakes

That is what we did. We really did not use it that much anyway and they quit selling the toilet paper we really liked.

I hope your friend doesn't have Covid. And that she recovers quickly from whatever she has. We opted not to renew our Sam's Club membership. For the past few years with taking care of Mike's parents we haven't been but a few times and thought paying the renewal fee to go once or twice wasn't worth it. And we can join again later if we choose to. Glad that you have the check # and date. They can't fight against the proof. Sorry they don't have what you want. Couldn't they ship it to you from another store? I know when we order from WalMart things come from all over the country. Have a good weekend

What they told my husband still did not make sense to me, but then again, neither did renewing anymore. We often did not go more that four or five times a year. The teacher evidently does have Covid, but I was not in the classroom to be considered exposed, because I had gone to PT. I hope she recovers quickly.

Evidently the test was positive. The entire grade level is going to remote learning. I am exempt because I was not in the room the day the exposure would have happened.
