Something different for lunch!

When I worked in Martinez CA, at my friend's preschool, I would often score a corned beef and Swiss sandwich from the Indian Deli there on the way home. But with Covid happening, I haven't worked at the preschool there in several months. Yesterday, I satisfied my sandwich mojo by getting a corned beef and Swiss at an Italian Deli that's less than a mile from my house. I bought a quarter of a dill pickle on the side. It was satisfying, and I'm still working on it today. Do you ever have a craving for something you haven't had in awhile? Disclaimer: Image stolen from some generic site on the internet. Yes sure do, I have this favorite little pizza place that makes the best pizza ever..we used to go there at least once I month. I miss it, I just seen on FB that he open back up!! I'm so going.

Sounds good to me! I used to go for pizza with my buds after a softball game. But Covid meant no pizza this past Summer. I'm actually "Jonesing" for a pizza right now.

I liked corned beef sandwich, my husband always asked for a pastrami when it happened to stop for a sandwich instead of a real lunch. (This when we visited your country).

@TheHorse Since I was born in Italy and it is still not a real lunch, even here in the south of Switzerland. A sandwich is a quick snack when you cannot have a good meal.

This afternoon I almost bought fish and chips, the small was so tasty as I walked past the shop, but it was 3 in the afternoon so too late for lunch and not near tea-time yet, and anyway I had other things I needed to hurry and do. So I had to walk past. Now it's cold and dark and although in theory I could drive back and buy myself some, there's no way I'm going back out there now. So my craving will just have to remain unsatisfied for the time being!
