On and on I scroll...
One video, two video, three video, four..
None of them are helping me. Not anymore!
Anyway.. Yeah I'm trying to learn GIMP and have been looking through videos but none of them are helping me, not really. Some are more advanced than I need at the moment, and some (most) are just moving too fast or don't give enough detail.
Plus, I can't figure out how to download fonts. I mean, I can figure it out but I cant find where I'm supposed to export them so they'll work for GIMP..
So for right now, I'm just going to stop and say "forget about it!" I'll get back to it later...

Well I know how to export brushes, so if it works the same way (which it should)I could try to explain how to do that!

Our lives are complicated. Once you figure it out you can make your own video which is user friendly.

I appreciate your suggestion,but I won't be making a video. It would take me even longer to figure out how to record my screen in this operating system. I'm not using Windows as an operating system.

@yoalldudes ubuntu / linux is much more secure which is why I like it. I didn't install it on my computer though a family member did it for me.

Exactly! At least, that's the way I understand it to be. I did figure out how to do the font thing because I found a video on it, but I'm still a little lost with some parts of GIMP.

@ScribbledAdNauseum My daughter says she has it on her computer . . . but we all use Photoshop here. I figure by "playing" around, you'll figure it out - I do that because I'm too lazy to go find tutorials

@much2say I like using the tutorials because I feel less likely that I'll mess something up or just give up which I've done in the past.
I use linux and photoshop isn't available for linux I don't believe.

I actually found a web based photo editing software that has lots of fonts pre-loaded so I don't have to mess with the tutorials anymore.

I am using the font websites. I use linux / ubuntu as an operating system which means I have to download the fonts differently. I managed to download one but not any of the others.

Did you know when I was in high school I wanted to be a graphic designer? I had to laugh last night because here it is 15 years later and I don't know the first thing about graphic programs.

They really are! I did find one, but I ended up figuring it out on my own halfway through the video.. Of course I was only able to download one font before it seems the way I did it isn't working anymore!

I appreciate it all the same. I'm not very familiar with it either. It's these darn fonts that are getting to me though!
