More Missing Stuff

About three weeks ago, I bought a bottle of aspirin. I took it out of the package and it just disappeared. So I bought some more a week later, and it is gone now too.
I am also missing bananas, pretzels, and other stuff.
We have had this problem off and on for years. My son and I have searched and sometimes the missing item shows up in a place already searched or is never seen again.
What do you think is going on here? Does stuff ever disappear in your house?

@akalinus I wish I knew because that's the way it happens with me too. I'll take everything out of a drawer looking for something and it's not there, only to look again another day and it be there.

@akalinus *sigh* Fine, then... I'll stop hiding things at your house, Jo Ann... Or leave you a note, telling you where I put whatever I happened to move. *grinning and giggling.*

Ghost who walks..I always thought we should have something attractively designed to wear in neck and push every small thing likely to be lost, placed in it. At the end of the day, we can go about with the last routine of placing things in their place.

I think you need to install a camera and that should solve the mystery.

@akalinus I think they have simple ones that just sit on top of things. Like what they use in a nursing home to check on staff.

@akalinus That it happens to me when I don't think about what I'm doing, but automatically 'do' ...
I really don't believe in ghosts..
Glad to see you active here, I didn't come for a while because of obligations, work and life in general.
Stay safe!

@LowRiderX It happens to everybody. There is too much to do and not enough time to do it.

Either you have "borrowers" in your house, or stuff are just getting misplaced. I misplace things all the time when I am pre-occupied and very busy. There are even times that I will enter a room to fetch something, but when I walk in there, I will forget what I came in there for.

Uhm... I think someone is a bit unorganized... I'm not thinking any one person in particular, of course... just thinking that people in general... *grinning at you*
Everything in my house has a place. It goes in that place and if someone, say Pretty, moves it and doesn't put it back, she hears about it... until it is back where it belongs.
Usually, she rolls her eyes at me and then goes and gets the item and puts it back where it belongs, telling me, "You could have just looked around for it. I didn't hide it from you. I was using it." But that is the point of everything having a place. I don't HAVE to go looking for it. I KNOW where it is supposed to be and I want it to be there if I need it.
Although, when Pretty was little, we had a ghost living in our house that liked to move things on us or hide them. It used to upset me. Then I learned that if I ask him to return the things he hid, he would do it.

@akalinus My mother often says if you put something somewhere with your left hand, you may forget where you had put it.

@akalinus Thanks. If you are a right hander and put something with your left hand, it is almost natural where you put that thing.I don't know if I have explained it clearl. You know my English is not perfect.

That's weird when it did happen regularly. A thing may be misplaced once ir twice but not as always or frequent.

@Nakitakona Absolutely but stuff disappears sometimes anyway. Right now, there are three flippers missing from my kitchen. Flippers are what we turn pancakes, eggs, or sandwiches with. Three missing is just weird. Who would take them and why?

Happens to me all the time LOL, and to my hubby too. Couple of weeks ago he was looking for his cup of tea which he just had poured while we were talking. We looked everywhere and then a while later he opened the fridge and there it was
It's very common to 'overlook' things. Most of the time you find them back when you're actually are not looking for them.
Sometimes I'm looking for stuff I'm certain I had, but have forgotten I threw it away because it was broken. I've searched for my paper shredder for two days.
