What does Christmas look like?

I mentioned about Christmas in my last post and it made me think about something I never really thought about before. What do other people think of or the image in their heads when it comes to Christmas. What do I mean?
This image very much makes me think about Christmas. The snow, a pine tree with ornaments and a star on top. All these things say Christmas to me, but being from the north we get snow and we have pine trees in this area.
I guess I was wondering what about people from say a tropical place. You don’t get snow so do you think of snowy pine trees for Christmas? Do you have a different kind of tree if pine trees don’t grow in your part of the world?
Maybe a odd question but I really don’t know since I never lived in a place that didn’t have these kind of things.

When I am in Germany, I am thinking of a Christmas like that in your photo above.
When I am in the Philippines, I am thinking of going to the church on the Holy Eve and celebrating it with music, dances and a lot of laughter at home after the Mass. On the next day with delicious food at the beach.

When I was a child, much of our population was made of Anglo-Saxons and the only Christmas cards you could buy were of snowy scenes like you've depicted. I guess I see it as a hot day. Many here would spend it on the beach but we weren't really beach people.

Well, I see a lot of artificial and sometimes real trees during the holidays. Living in Florida, it's fun to see the palm trees lit up. I guess it's fun seeing neighbours using blow up things to try and create a winter wonderland in their front yards. (two of my neighbors on my street did that.) Oh, and it's not Christmas, unless it's either warm or raining or both.

Well, snow isn't in the cards this year, unless the temps drop drastically between now and then. Which, well, won't happen I'm sure. It's still funny that neighbors still try. @Bensen32

. This year we have not had really to many days below freezing so no ice yet. I'm sure it will get here sooner or later though.
