I believe I am experiencing symptoms of Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) since last night. I experienced this only once on my 40 plus years of my existence. This is the second time. But this is much worse than I remember and this is way fast acting. Yesterday morning until early afternoon, I did not feel anything. Late afternoon came, the frequency to go to toilet increases but no other symptoms. Night came, it became worse than I need to go one after another and the burning pain was there and there was blood. I need to stay near the toilet so I do not have to go back and forth. That continued until 2:30am where I am willing to sleep beside the toilet

. I went back to bed hoping I can sleep and lo and behold, I was able to find sleep. When I wake up this morning, the burning pain is bearable and the blood was gone. I am taking antibiotic now from a doctor friend. I will go for urinalysis later.

That sounds just awful! I had it once and only an antibiotic helped.

Oh gosh - hope that antibiotic helps you to get better soon! I remember the feeling of it but have not had it in years. As soon as I even feel like it may be starting, I drink lots of water, eat plain yogurt - and stay away from sugar, and acidy foods like coffee, citrus, strawberries or tomatoes.

I am a bit better now but I am on my second day of antibiotics. I was able to have a tele consult with a doctor

Dealing with a UTi is really tough. Take proper medication and drink lots of water.

That sounds like a really bad case of urinary tract infection. I think I only had that once, during my teenage years. Have you tried taking cranberry juice? It was said that it helps with the discomfort.

I think so too. The first time I experienced this, it was just frequent urination without any pain. I heard cranberry juice is good for UTI but there are less supply of that here you know

I am on my second day antibiotics now. Yes, I think so too because the progress was very fast. It might be really a bad bacteria. Not feeling anything in the morning and feeling that burning sensation at night time

I am better now, thanks. This is my second time to have this and like you, there was no blood and no pain just the frequent passing of urine. I am on my antibiotics now

I really do not know. It was very fast, the morning I am all good. In the afternoon I noticed the frequent trips to the cr but no pain and then a few hours after, the pain sets in
