$600 Million

Weekends are too short, working sucks anymore, and I just want to get on with my life.
So, here we go MegaMillions. Bring it on. The drawing for Tuesday is $600 million and I want to get at that once and for all.
If I take the cash option, after taxes, I should bring home a cool $180 million. I can live just fine off that for quite a long time, especially considering I am very good with money.
I promise I will donate some of the proceeds and give lots of very big tips at restaurants and other places.
Of course I write this on Sunday with work resuming tomorrow. And clearly I do not want to have to go.
Either way, I guess I would still have to. The drawing for the MegaMillions isn't until Tuesday.
Ugh.

@porwest I am suggesting that I saw a post of yours about the lottery and surmised you may post again about it
Now if one of us could win it.

@RebeccasFarm Honestly, I will probably make more money posting about it than actually ever winning it.

I would also would like to a huge lottery payoff to buy a new car and make house repairs like the fence that was damaged by Hurricanes Laura and Delta last year.

@porwest You are right. I would love to live in the hills like my late grandparents did in Panama.

That's a lot of "after taxes" leftovers! What kind of interest would you charge me to borrow $18K so I can pay my car off?

@FourWalls Yeah. Not sure why it would be a bad word. Sometimes I have to question how much time admin has on their hands. lol
And, I think you are right about the credit union.

Best of luck to you in the drawing. If you win would you kindly send me $10,000 that is all I really need for my purposes?
Thank you,

@porwest I mentioned this again but it is so true so I am hoping that perhaps Santa will bring it to me,

Good luck with that! Hope you win big. Don't remember the last time I played that. I just get scratch-offs once in a while. They are fun to do and some potentially have million dollar jackpots. Not that I've ever won big on them.

@porwest Seems the only time I win the jackpot is in my dreams.

I'm still waiting to win the measly Lotto that pays out $1.5 million right now. I hope you win the $600 million and do a lot of good with it.

@porwest The cash option is $1.5. The actual amount is around $3 million. We would take the cash option. That would leave us with about half???

Sorry to hear that working sucks! But I'd agree if I did work... Good luck with the lottery....that would be an amazing amount - although only getting $180 million of the 600 million isn't very fair! I'd love to get that too though.

@MommyOfEli2013 Hell, I'd take half of the $180 million and still be happy as a lark. It's still a crap ton of money. lol

I don't buy lottery tickets. I'm a penny pincher

So far as I know most of the lottery money, or at least half of it, goes to schools and property tax relief.
