A great bargain

Hubby and I went to a store yesterday and I saw a medium-size box of chocolate Panettone.
The price was $4.99, which is not bad at all.
I love Panettone so I grabbed a box.
But then hubby told me to put it back because they had a large-size box of chocolate Panettone for only $1.99 down by the register.
That was a no brainer.
Why pay $4.99 for a medium one when you can pay $1.99 for a large one?
What a bargain!
Now I regret getting only one box.

Very good deal. I regret now not getting another one as Panettone is usually sold only around Christmas time.

I don't remember if I ever tried the chocolate one before. I tried one with chocolate chips and it was really good.

The expiration date was not nearing, so we could've gotten another one, without needing to freeze it. I regret it now. Weird thing is, I looked over the receipt last night before I threw it out and I didn't see the price of $1.99 on it. At first I thought perhaps she rung up the incorrect price. But after looking over all the items on the receipt (only prices there, no item names) I realized she never rung it up at all. She was talking to my husband while ringing everything up. She must have been distracted and didn't realize she didn't charge us for it.

@porwest Me too. Happened recently. I bought a big refill thing of the Softsoap I use online at Walgreens for $6.49. But then went to Target recently and they had this same soap there for $4.49. The past times I was there Target didn't have it. That's why I ordered from Walgreens. Now trying to figure out why I didn't order from Target. Probably 'cause I had to pay for shipping. Walgreens had free shipping.

It's a great deal. I think regular price there was $5.99 but it usually sells elsewhere for more.

I am not really a huge fan of chocolate. But I like baked things with chocolate in it.
