Confusing: "Why need to wear face masks if being vaccinated?"

My colleague and I are talking about this Covid-19 vaccine. She is claiming to be confused and asked me this question. I am trying to explain to her that once being vaccinated, there is a possibility that he or she is a carrier of this virus. It means he or she is protected from this virus but not the others who are not vaccinated yet. In the end, she is not going to have this vaccine. Any thoughts about it? Did you read any news about this health protocol after being vaccinated? Image Credit: trbimg.com

You MUST wear a mask because YOU are protected, but you could be positive (also because of the vaccine) and contaminate the others. It's not difficult to understand.

That's a good point. It means that we are going to be exposed after being vaccinated. Are you going to have it?

@LadyDuck I agree. That's a good explanation. I think I need to have it and the rest of my family.

@Shavkat You are going to expose the others, we are theoretically protected, but we can contaminate those who are not. NO for the moment I do not want to be vaccinated.

Vaccines come from viruses that have been weakened.

Vaccine won't protect you 100% so it is better to wear masks as a precaution. Another thing wearing masks may protect you from other diseases as well.

I agree. Even Pfizer claimed 95% effective only, which means it is not 100% guaranteed.

@Shavkat Yes, doctors says it won't protect 100%. There may be side effects for some people as well.

Good question but no vaccine is with 100 % efficacy. Maximum efficacy claimed by some of the vaccines is 95%. What if you are among 5% those are not protected.

@Shavkat The one from Moderna is also not far behind rather it is better than Pfizer as far as efficacy is concerned.

As far as I know, Pfizer is the only company that claimed 95%. It still needs 5% to be effective in the human system.

I have personally chosen not to have the vaccine. I am still really suspicious about how serious this whole thing really is/was. I tend to believe we were lead on.

My family and I were thinking not to have it. We are starting to be in doubt. In my country, it was being announced that we need to have a general checkup from our doctors if it is possible to be injected with this vaccine or not.

@Shavkat I think the one thing the vaccines are helpful for is giving the sheep peace of mind, and giving the media a reason to make the virus go away since they no longer need it.

It seems it needs to take more time before it will be in effect. I heard in China that they need to stay in the facility for about 30 minutes after being vaccinated.

You might not get Covid but you might be carrying it. Then you might infect others with it. Also there's no 100% guarantee it would work on you. Some people just have different reaction.

I agree with this logic. A vaccinated person can be the carrier. Thus, he or she needs to wear face masks and face shields.

On the news this morning a doctor explained that it may take weeks for the vaccine to kick in and that it may not stop one from getting infected but will only decrease the severity of the symptoms. He said we should know more in a few weeks, so keep taking all safety precautions even after vaccinated.
