I Thought myLot was Hacked

I had over $5 in my account. I did not get back to myLot for a week or more. When I came back, the amount was 26 cents. I panicked. I was going to write to AskAlice but it did not come up in search. Then I wondered if myLot could have been hacked. I panicked again. After some angry thoughts, I looked at the account ledger and found out that I was paid while I was gone from the site. I was so glad that I did not make a fool of myself over it. Am I the only one who jumps to conclusions? Do you have a story?

It was not hacked. I was just thinking irrationally.

@RebeccasFarm Hacked would mean that someone else got paid for the work I did.

It also happens to me that sometimes I react hastily.

Sometimes we just panic and assume something is true when it is not. I should have looked at payments first.

To be honest, I didn't even realized my balance was reduced nor the dollar sign. I read on the discussion and realized, oh, we got our payment.

I was not here when payday came. I thought it was supposed to be on the 15th so it came early this month and surprised me. I can understand that it is confusing sometimes.

I never jumped to that conclusion on here but he’s every time I know I’m close or should be getting money I get a little nervous on how long is it going to be till I get it.

I acted like a fool the month before and told the admin that I did not get paid. I thought I was a few pennies over $5 at the end of the month. He told me how he figures it out with a formula that I did not understand. I am glad that I did not message him again about this payment.

@akalinus roughly if you want $5 or a little more it’s about 20 cents or more day worth of mylot. No fancy formula just straight up old fashioned math.

@ShyBear88 I seldom make that much. I have usually done it after my other earning sites but am starting to do it earlier so the earnings increase. I watch youtube or do housework when nothing inspires me on here.

The first thing I look for when I see a decrease in my bank is the $ signs. Then I know all is well. I'm here every day.

I was on vacation from myLot when the payday came. I did not see the dollar signs.

@akalinus Anything can be hacked.I too crossed the payout mark two or three days back.I decided to make at least one dollar more before getting paid, but the very next day I got paid. There was a time I had a tendency to jump to a conclusion. But once it caused an embarrassing situation for me.Then on I gave up the tendency.

You get paid anytime there is at least $5 in your account. I don't know what that is in Indian money. I am trying not to jump to conclusions too.

@akalinus yup, that was what surprised most people. Payout came really early this month. I always expect payout around mid month.

@allen0187 From the comments I have seen, it seems that a lot of people were surprised or puzzled by the early payout.

I never notice how much is showing in my bank. When PayPal sends me an email telling me I got paid, I'm happy.

@akalinus It takes me so long to reach payout that I purposely don't look to see what my total is. Otherwise, I might worry about it. *shrug*

It's good you found out where your money had gone before going off the deep end. MyLot have always been very good about paying on time. I hope they never get hacked.

Yes, they are. I always get paid which is more than I can say about some other sites. And it is a lot more interesting than other earning sites.

Early Alzheimer ? I am often absent-minded. To speak only of this morning, I forgot to close the street door when leaving my home, and it turned to be good : I have found two packages left by the postman in the corridor that were too big to be put in the mailbox. My absent-mindedness saved me a walk to the post-office.
