Facebook Friends Friday

I have been thinking about it for a long time. It’s a waste of my time. It’s either that or MyLot.

@DianneN I enjoy myLot a lot more than facebook, I also never use my Twitter account.

@LadyDuck So do I, TWIN! I only joined Twitter for one reason only and now he’s banned for life.

I don't use my phone for Facebook. I just use a computer.

That I don’t get. My friends are all wonderful, but I never visit them on Facebook anymore. Most text me or pick up the phone. Just took a call 30 minutes ago.

That depends on where the other party lives, if they're overseas then it really is the cheapest way @Aquitaine24 A lot of my veteran friends with kids in the military use it for that reason.

I think is cheaper than using the phone

We do what we have to do.

I have no interest in them anymore. I’m only on when I get a notification that it’s someone’s birthday.

@DianneN i can understand that - i still share my blog so social has some value for me.

None of my friends annoy me. I just find it a total waste of my time and lack the interest.

@DianneN I didn't even think of friends, but of various groups, friends of my friends, it all pops up on the Home Page and then I read all sorts of nonsense.

@DianneN You are fortunate! I'd have to say most are like minded, but politically speaking maybe about 25% of them still support the ol' banned one . I take no part in politics on FB, but I will still read about all sides. Any particular reason why you are leaving it?

There is no political divide on my feed. My friends are like-minded. Snooping!. You are a riot. No need for me to be on.

@much2say Mostly because my DIL is not on it. She’s on Snapchat. I get emails when she posts things about the kids. Otherwise, I am fed up with all the shares after shares, babies, birthday notifications, all the holiday greetings from everyone, recipes, travel, etc. which are getting old and boring. If I devoted my time, I would be there all day and night. I could remove 500 followers and still be there for hours. I’m done and just don’t care anymore.

I don’t get any drama due to my settings, but I am fed up with those sharing post after post, recipes, pure nonsense, etc.

I have over 500 and hear from most of them every single day.

@DianneN Oh wow! I wouldn't even want to cope with that many. Now you don't have an account, maybe you'll get 500 phone calls most days.

I only joined when my first grandchild was born. Then it grew and has gotten out of hand. I’m done!

@lazydaizee Facebook is sneaky that way. Another reason to stay off.

@DianneN I suppose it is a good way to stay in touch with people, but it can get too big and impersonal. I know somebody who gets friends requests from people he does not even know.

I done with it. Will delete my account tomorrow.

Just bored with the same old stuff, the constant sharing, and recipes.
