I missed a great photo opportunity

I am annoyed with myself. We went to a great show last night and I forgot to take my camera. A guy called Tom Curtain (I wonder how he got his name) performed on an oval in the little town of Kirup. For the great part of the year he runs an Outback Experience show in Katherine in the Northern Territory. He also tours for 2 or 3 months with 4 or 5 horses, 6 or 8 dogs and 3 goats.
The show started at 6pm when he invited a heap of kids into a smallish roped-off arena to steady 44-gallon drums which the dogs leapt up on between working for Tom. Later he organised the kids to have a ‘barrel race’ where several children rolled drums a short distance and other kids rolled them back.
He then worked several horses at liberty and finally rode a bridleless horse while playing his guitar and singing, finally standing on his horse while entertaining us. So many photo opportunities missed and we had front row seats!
At around eight, he went on stage with two others and sang for another hour with all the kids dancing on the grass in front of the group. For this, he was joined with an incredible guitarist/banjo/mandolin/steel guitar player and another young up-and-coming singer. It was very much a family oriented show and he must have given away 20 CDs. Here is a link that shows a bit more about Tom. https://www.tomcurtain.com.au/tour/
Today, we’re taking in another two movies from the International Film Festival.
The photo is of Mischief, my Dad’s stock horse.

@crazyhorseladycx There are cruises that stop at Fremantle and we could pick you up from there. I think some even come to Bunbury. You'd need to allow more time but the holiday on board a ship would do you good.

@allknowing This happens to Vince from time to time too. It's very annoying when it does.

Wow, that sounds amazing but at the end of the day, you probably paid more attention and enjoyed the show more without your camera.

@JudyEv I just read a study that found people who didn't take photos of an event remembered it in much more detail.

@BelleStarr Our friend never takes photo but relies on her memory. However, I find that, going back through photos, I start saying 'I'd forgotten about this, or that'. Maybe there is a happy medium there somewhere.

when you see the world as a photograph you lament the ones you missed! I bet it would have been an awesome picture!
