We had a brutal wind storm last night!

I awoke several times last night as strong winds shook the trees and sent Kitty's food and water bowls skidding off into the distance.
I hear that the winds were up to 70 mph last night up on Mt. Diablo. I'm not sure how they "measured" here, but they were as strong as I've experienced in this house.
Happily, we've had rain, and the fire danger is down. I see blue skies this morning with no haze on the horizon.

the last time we had a storm like that (4 years ago) roofing companies in our area became wealthy!

@DocAndersen Yep. Very occasionally (here) a person gets squished inside their car.

Had some wind rattling the vinyl siding as I was having my lunch today but nothing's flying around, not even the birds.

I'm glad to hear that the fire danger is down. I'm glad you're still safe and sound after all the wind.

Did your power go out? I get afraid when the power goes out.

Wow, those are some big winds. It was supposed to be windy here today, but I didn't think it was that bad, of course I was in the house almost all day so I really don't know. I couldn't hear the wind though...normally if it is very windy you can hear it.
