The first hours of President Biden make me hope.

President Biden has started his first day as a president with a lot of work.
There are many important things that he signed. He stopped the building of the wall between Mexico and the US, he signed again the relations with the WHO and the Paris Club for climate change. And there were others.
No less important was the obligation to wear masks. Covid is still with us.
I will be following his actions. He seems a real world leader.

Geejus, America is one of the cleanest countries already so we do a good job. The only reason they want us in the Paris club (as you call it) is so we can pay the bills.
The migrants are lining up by the truckloads.
And even with vaccines we will all be masked up like hooligns.
But yeah, I hope he turns out to be a great leader.

Love your answer. Keep your fingers crossed. I bet your ancestors were migrants too. So were mine. They all came from Europe.

@marguicha Thanks. I would bet ALL people over the globe are migrants. Nothing against immigration as a whole but stupidly allowing just anyone to come into your home or sneak through the back door is just asking for trouble. Mine came from Ireland, one half did, the other side was predominantly native. But even the native migrated so...

@Namelesss In my country we are full of migrants. People from different parts of the world have come along the years for political reasons or just because there was not enough food in their homeland. Many people went from Ireland to the US because there was a potato blight famine.

@LadyDuck My youngest daughter swore never to go to the US again some 20 and so years ago even if she had been a year there with an American family on a scholarship. She went to visit her American mom with her chidren. Tomas was a baby and he was dark colored while Carolina was very blonde. At the airport, in winter, they made her even take off his diapers.

@marguicha Exactly, it's not because a bunch of terrorists are scaring the world that all the population must be considered as criminals.

Joe Biden signed an order to stop the building of the wall, which he supported many years before, along with Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and countless other democrats, including Bill Clinton who actually built the first portions of it.
I won't even get into the ridiculousness of the Paris Accord. I have talked about that incessantly and I honestly don't believe anyone even knows what the accord is about. Our exit from it was the best decision we could ever have made, and entering back into it the dumbest.
But everyone is entitled to believe what they want of course.
For years, Democrats voted for new fencing and other physical barriers along the southern border. Then Donald Trump was elected president. Read more: https:/...

@marguicha You'd have to read my commentary on it which should help to clear things up. I don't think most people know what the Accord really is. I'd be interested to know your thoughts if you choose to read it.

This is good. Others are too pessimistic that Biden can't do better than Trump. I don't understand them. Do you think the sick America be healed?

I agree @marguicha . He's having a massive spree of outburst of reversing-signing of former President Trump's Executive Orders. You must be very excited to see him off that presidential chair. Looks like, the pile of EOs isn't going down.

Me too. I was so worried when Trump decided not to be with them. As stupid as going every where with no masks.
