I made a big mistake

I was painting and minding my own business when I discovered that somewhere along the way I had also gotten a wad of paint on my tablecloth. I can believe i did it and didn't notice until the paint had dried. I don't even know how i got there. I use parchment paper underneath my project every time I paint, glue, or seal anything. I am always so careful. This time I made a big mistake. I now have to throw away my tablecloth. It wasn't new but it was my favorite. Oh well, I guess that "in every life a little rain must fall".

What kind of paint was it? You can't remove it?

It was an oil based paint. I already put it in the garbage.

What a shame! There is no way you can remove the paint from the table cloth?

No way of getting the paint out of the cloth? That's a shame, especially as it's your favourite.

@HazySue Sometimes something like this pushes you into buying a new one.

I would be tempted to turn it into a design on the cloth. I hope you did not get it on your clothes or anything else.

I would have but part of the tablecloth was stiff and rough. I ended up throwing it away.

Argh. But what kind of paint were you using? I try to be careful when doing projects too . . . but the inevitable seems to happen every time. I try to use big plastic tablecloths but I can be lazy and not even bother to use them.

I am sorry you accidentally got paint on it, but with the paint dry... I don't see why you need to throw out the table cloth. Seems kind of wasteful to me.

Maybe you can get rid of the paint. I am sure there is something that can get rid of it from the paint shop. Maybe turpentine?
