Yesterday was -5 I think ;) and I decided not to go for a walk and shoveled our driveway and then moved on to the driveways of some neighbours who are older than I am lol. Hey, I find shoveling relaxing and I get to meditate at the same time. It's a win win as far as I'm concerned.
Today is sitting at -12 so I added a few more layers and headed out again. With all that sunshine, it was beautiful. Okay the wind gusts every so often weren't so beautiful, but luckily they were few and far between. Apparently I'm a glutton for punishment lol, because I decided to take the long way to get the week's mail... which turned out just to be a bill. haha
This afternoon I have plans for one more walk just to the park and back. Can't do any harm and it's more exercise to keep me busy.
So, what are you doing for fun? And did you notice that we have polished off January really quickly this year. I think that's going on my Gratitude list for the day!!!

I'm very much a homebody when it's cold winter weather. I get my steps in around the house but I admire you for going out in the cold and walking, shoveling etc.

@Hate2Iron Getting out and doing things is a good way to avoid being bored. I'm sure your neighbors were happy that you shoved their snow.

@Hate2Iron I am sewing right now. Soon I will be starting seeds indoors. After that I will start getting bored.

The one I have is toasty warm because it's so big. Lots of room for layers but the zipper is giving me problems so I just might trade up.

Bless you for shoveling the driveways of the elderly. Fortunately we have some good neighbors like that too. Nothing really going on here today. Too cold to go out. 56 days until spring.

Certainly January has taken only a week to fly by - or so it seems.

I like that you find shoveling snow to be relaxing, that's a great attitude. I feel the same way about cutting grass. Yeah it's tiring and hot and all that but it's just me, the push mower and drifting thoughts.
January has a week to go, lol. But hey there's something to be said for optimism.
