I am here, but not

I did not print like I needed to last night.
I did not interact here much last night or this morning.
I have been typing up communications with my daughter and with my son, and I have been worrying about stuff. And cleaning up things.
Secretly I was hoping for a snow day from school. We do have snow but it is not enough or bad enough to cancel anything.
I just need to get out the door now.
See you tonight.
Let me ask, though, do you eat odd breakfasts?
Hubby did not like the dish he made the other night. I dished it up and I am eating it for breakfasts, because he disliked it enough it made him nauseous. It made for fast meals for me.
What is your oddest breakfast?

It was a wonderful sunny day this morning, but now it's dark and cloudy, I am sure it's snowing on the hills.
At home I never have odd breakfast, I did when I traveled, I had salted fish with fritters in the Caribbean, their coffee was not bad.

I think if I was not working I would not eat odd meals.

@GardenGerty I never did at home even when I worked, but traveling you get what you get.

What I'd like to know is, why is it odd to have potato chips but not hash browns for breakfast, or pie but not toast and jam?

It is just what culture decides. I have had all of the above for breakfast.

Leftover anything is good. What was in your trifle?

@JudyEv That sounds good. I have seen Swiss rolls as prepackaged treats.

@GardenGerty We had Swiss roll (jam roll perhaps?) and sliced peaches set in jelly then topped with thick custard and decorated with cream and peach.

Yes, that is right. I have paid for it and I am going to use it.

I've had leftover fish curry for breakfast before. It was more satisfying than I expected it would be, but it did seem like an odd thing for breakfast. I guess it's all a state of mind.

I am not sure exactly what is in a curry, but if it was in my refrigerator I would likely eat it for breakfast.

@GardenGerty It was a Thai curry, so lots of coconut milk, ginger, turmeric, basil, lemongrass, and other spices in the sauce, and there were chunks of fish and potatoes in the sauce.

I thin it all depends on what your culture is accustomed to.

I dont usually go too odd on my opinion. Leftovers are good anytime. So to me they dont count as odd.

Interesting question. I am not sure I have had an odd breakfast unless you consider dinner/lunch leftovers odd eating at breakfast time. But we do enjoy having breakfast for dinner, we do that several times a month. That comes from when I worked 10 hour days getting off at 2 AM and also when I was an EMT working 24 hour shifts.
It's raining here now, could have snow mix in after midnight. Calling for some more in the weekend. I would love to see it fall again before winters over.

I do like breakfast for supper myself. If I am eating alone I am likely to have anything in the refrigerator for breakfast.
