Thanks to Kharla and to my Martini

I am flying right now thanks to the martini hubs made me! So I stumbled into the kitchen, climbed on a stepladder very carefully, (our cabinets go all the way up to the ceiling), and took down very carefully my tea cup to show you. Hubs bought it for me in Chinatown in Shanghai immediately after we had tea in a Chinese tea house. We sampled many different teas, all unique to me. My tea cup has a porcelain strainer built inside, if I choose to use tea leaves. Or, I can use a teabag. The top keeps it hot until I am ready for my next sip. I sometimes use it for coffee. I cherish this. It brings back some wonderful travel memories. The reason I am mentioning this is that my younger son just called and asked us to compile a list of places we want to travel to once it is safe to travel again. I just texted him every country in the world we have been to and haven’t been to. The ones that overlap are the ones we intend to

I love your teacup, it's beautiful. So, have you been to iceland and flown by helicopter over the inactive volcanoes?

My friend was in the Navy and worked as a photo journalist and got to take shots of the inactive crater there from a helicopter @DianneN I'd have been terrified but she did it.

Thanks and I hope so, too. We each made a list of 10 and narrowed it down to 3 places. It won’t be for ages I suppose, but the planning can’t hurt.

Seeing that teacup reminds me of childhood. My grandfather used to drink tea using a cup like that. The cup is white with a white bearded old man wearing a stick. But unfortunately it's gone now.

@DianneN As most of the time I drink espresso coffee I use the coffee cups. Only in the morning with my breakfast I have what we call "American coffee", in a mug.

Wow! That is a beautiful Chinese tea mug. It reminds me that I have a beautiful Japanese or Chinese tea set that I have not used. I have not seen them for ages. I think they are still in my living room cupboards, if not, then they are in my home in the Philippines. I have to check them.

Thank you! I have a Japanese tea set in the same cabinet. I have so many tea sets and am a coffee drinker. I do enjoy tea once in a while. I hope you locate yours. I’m going to ship some to Florida. I don’t even have a tea kettle there.

Looking forward to your post. I should post mine, too. @thelme55 I will ship lots of things to Florida. I will leave our kettle here, because it matches this kitchen and will have to buy one in Florida. So many problems!

@DianneN We are tea drinkers but we mostly use a mug for drinking tea. Hubby doesn´t drink coffee but I do every now and then. I will look for the tea set tomorrow and I post it here. Some of the things we have not used here in Germany were sent to our home in the Philippines. You can bring a tea kettle there when you go t Florida.
