I Am So Addicted to Dr. Doogie Howser before and now,...

...it is Dr. Shaun Murphy who makes me on fire. There is no doubt that I am into surgeries, complications, traumas, etc. I was so exposed to this kind of thing during my working stunts in a hospital a few years back. For those who do not know me, let me drop the bomb that I am a Physiotherapist. With this kind of genre, it was like I am on the spot working with the medical team instantly. The medical terms are not foreign to me. Among all the Doctors in TV series, such as Grey's Anatomy, Doogie Howser, Dr. House, and this particular 'The Good Doctor' as played by Dr. Shaun Murphy is a special one. What makes it special? It is because he is a doctor with autism. I am an advocate of children with impairments or disabilities since I became a medical professional. This is eye-opening to all that we cannot underestimate people who have neurological conditions. Are you an advocate of people with disabilities (PWDs)? Are you fond of seeing blood, surgeries, internal organs, etc on a TV screen? Image Credit: static.wikia.nocookie.net

I cannot stand to see blood and anything surgical related. I always asked to my brother not to talk about his work while we were eating.

It is a big no in the family for me to talk about my bloody job. Whenever I am with my batchmates, we were having snacks while dissecting in front of a cadaver.

@LadyDuck I am glad that he was able to perform surgery on your mom. Some doctors cannot treat their family members or relatives effectively.

@Shavkat My brother never had a problem. When he performed surgery on my mother to remove a stomach cancer he wanted to tell me what he did, I did not want to listen!!!

I don't mind seeing blood, as long as it isn't mine. But no, I don't watch medical shows. I prefer not having night mares, thank you!

Certainly people with autism can be incredibly talented in some areas. Why aren't you working as a physio now?

I just want to explore more things in my life. Being in a PT is not that fun when it is becoming monotonous. In time, I will work again as one. It depends what will be the outcome of my further study. I am waiting for my admission to a university this year.

@JudyEv Honestly, I wanted to be a consultant again. In this way, I can able to transfer my soft skills, which I did in Tajikistan before.

@Shavkat You will always have that skill to fall back on should you ever need it. I can understand that it could get monotonous.

It seems an interesting one. I haven't seen it. As of now, I am having a TV series marathon with Dr. Murphy.

@yoalldudes I got it. That's why he is a familiar actor when watching this TV series.

I think I can watch them on the screen but in actual, it would be very different.

It will be different in actuality. During my university days, dissecting cadavers is not easy at first. It is a normal feeling seeing bloody things. For those who cannot endure the real thing, it is up to them to change their minds and find other majors.

@ZedSmart Originally, we are five friends before admitting to the major's proper. Only two of us remained to pursue it.

I only watch the Korean version of Good Doctor. The actor who played him did a very good job.

@Shavkat it's a good opportunity to learn the language. That's one of the way for me to learn English. By reading the subtitles.

@prinzcy For some people, they can do this. Not for me though. I can understand the language without it.

I think it is a good one, too. With Kdrama, I think I cannot handle reading the subtitles in English while watching it.

I am actually amazed at how many people like that show. I actually like it. It becomes a bit to corny sometimes, but overall premise is pretty neat .

I do agree that there are some corny scenes. It means that they are not what really happens in real-life situations. At some point, I do not buy it.
