I Woke Up CrAnKy...

Some neighbors are really insensitive. This morning, our neighbor's dog next to our house is kept on barking. I waken up by it and felt cranky. They cannot even stop their dog from disturbing other people. When I checked from the window, the dog is being leashed. I do not mind whatever they wanted to do with their dog. Perhaps I can teach them how to say 'shoo' to their dog. The word 'disturbing' needs to be put in their minds. Should I bark at them? What do you do if you are in my shoes? When do you feel cranky in your life? Image Credit: kpcw.org

Better to tell your neighbor politely to silent their dog. It is always a nuisance in the middle of night.

@msdivkar I am still human. Being calm is not easy to do in certain situations.

You said it right. I endured the barking noise since last night. I will talk to them if it happens again later. Before doing it, I need to calm myself up.

I read below that you stopped the dog. I would continue to do this I think.

I might insult them, but it needs to be done. If things escalated, then they can bring it on.

@JudyEv I forgot to say that when I read your title it reminded me of the saying Sometimes I wake up cranky but sometimes I let him sleep'.

I typically look for food. or, I check my blood sugar. If my sugar is okay, then I'll take my meds for pain or deep breaths to calm myself so I don't do something I'll regret. If I have the time, I'll rant to someone.

I took my time to calm myself for a minute. Then, I gave the dog a big blow of 'shoo.' It stopped and the master got the message. At least, I did not bark at the master.

@Shavkat I'm always telling dogs to shut up when they annoy the hell out of me. I getrew up with them and that became my favorite word.

@kaylachan I am having side comments since last night because it keeps on barking until this morning. Soon, I will call the master's attention if he or she will not do something about this issue.

It sounds funny to say. But I shooed the dog to sop. I do not care if the owner will get angry.

When we lived at the other house the people across the street had a dog that would start barking if Pretty or I went outside and keep barking as long as we stayed outside. I ask them to do something about the dog. They weren't nice about it... A few days later, Pretty and I went out after 10 pm and sat on our front porch. The dog started barking. We called the police and stayed sitting outside. The neighbors got fined for disturbing the peace. They kept the dog inside their house after that. I don't know what you should do... Would barking at the dog make it stop? Unless you can make it annoy it's owner, there isn't anything else you can do. (I don't think you have disturbing the peace laws there, right?) I usually feel cranky right before I do something that will get others in trouble.

I will do that soon. If they do not do anything about it, they will meet the policemen in no time. Of course, I will call them anonymously to prevent conflict. I do not mind having a class with them, but I do not want stress at this point.

I would wake up cranky for no reason sometimes. My neighbour's dog tend to bark near my window. I try to ignore it. Maybe it did saw something and tried to warn us.

I hope it is like it. My concern is that it will disturb my teaching online. They are new here. So I am trying to endure it. Moreover, some women are cranky because of having a magic day.

We used to have neighbors like that. Their yappy 2 dogs would bark very late into the night and their owners would not do anything . But then they moved out so they could have tenants - thankfully they took the dogs with them. I would like to see a video of you barking at those dogs .

@Shavkat I hope that worked. The owners really should control their dogs.

I hope they will move out. Unfortunately, they are our new insensitive neighbors. I hope the side commenting this morning had struck their hearts. As of now, I cannot hear any noise from them.

I suppose the police does not care if the dogs are an annoyance... in this case be loud when you know that your neighbors are sleeping.

That is easy. Just tune the music sound aloud. Maybe the dog will shut up. If you can't, using a headset might reduce the distraction.
