Throw Back Pic / myLot

This picture brings back memories. It was July 4, 1979. My Grandmother lived in an apartment on Peachtree Rd in Atlanta Georgia. My family and many relatives got together early to watch the Peachtree Rd Race. It was a six mile race from Lennox Square to Piedmont Park. Thousands ran in it. I'm standing at the left with my arms crossed. My uncle (Mom's brother) is sitting to my left. My Mom's cousin is sitting next to him. My Great Aunt and My Great Uncle are next and at the far right is another of my Great Aunts. What is sad about the picture is today I am the only one still alive in this photo. I took a picture of the photo with my new cell phone .

It's sad isn't it, when you look through old photos and realise exactly how many people aren't around any more. Great photo though - and you have such long legs!

My Mom gave me my first cell phone about that time 2001 and it was one of those fat phones. Remember how fat they use to be?

It is nice to look back at photos but they can give mixed emotions of being happy to remind you of them but sad they are no longer here.

Great photo. It's so good to be able to go back in time and appreciate our memories and lost loved ones through photos! (We are close to the same age because I was 16 in 1979.)
