What Do You Drink

When you think you are getting sick? Like having sore throat, headache and maybe fever.
Last Thursday when I was feeling sick, I made turmeric and ginger tea with lemon juice and honey. I think I have drunk half a liter of this tea before going to bed.
I made that herbal tea from turmeric roots and ginger roots which I have almost forgotten in my fridge. I was glad I have them. The tea helped me a lot.
Besides that turmeric ginger root tea, I took paracetamol before going to bed. I slept a lot at that time and was sweating.
I was glad that I was only a few hours sick. I was scared and prayed a lot. I am very thankful that I felt better the next day.
I will be making this tea often especially now in winter. Thanks for reading. I hope you are all keeping well.

@thelme55 I hope you never get that darn covid!
When I make chicken soup, I make a lot all at once and keep a few containers in the freezer. It's easier here, because I have extra freezers in the basement. Not too easy in Florida, since I only have the refrigerator freezer.
Have a good night!

Glad that it worked and you are okay now. Any mild illness can be scary and worrisome these days. Take care.
I take ginger and turmeric water on a regular basis.

I am glad about that too @arunima25. That’s true that a mild illness nowadays is a scary thought for us since the pandemic. How do you make ginger and turmeric water? Thank you.

@arunima25 That is the way I make my ginger turmeric tea. I have not tried it yet with turmeric powder.

@thelme55 I grate a small piece of fresh ginger and fresh turmeric. Boil it for few minutes, filter it and let it cool a bit. If you don't have fresh turmeric, you can use turmeric powder. You can add honey if you want when drinking. I don't add honey due to my diabetes.

@thelme55 My throat is slowly starting to hurt, I'm not sick, I drank cold water, my throat is otherwise sensitive and I'm just thinking about what tea to drink to alleviate the pain

Drinking cold water is only good in summer. You can drink hot lemon tea with honey or ginger or turmeric tea. They are really good tea for sensitive throat. Thanks and have a nice Monday evening there. @LowRiderX

I usually drink hot black tea with lemon juice and honey first.
Then I may make small pieces of ginger and garlic and swallow them with some tea.
I also have some quick packets of drinks like cold remedy if I am in a hurry.
I am glad the tumeric and ginger helped you.
I also eat curry if need be as it has spice which cures the sickness.

I drink I think a liter of creamy black tea the whole day besides water, soya milk and other herbal teas.
I don't like garlic in my tea. It stinks. Yes, the turmeric and ginger tea helped me. I am still drinking them today.
I didn't know that curry can help. How do you do it? Thank you @RebeccasFarm.

I've heard good things about turmeric and ginger for health. I usually go with hot tea and honey, gargle with salt water and have some chicken soup. I also take vitamin C.

I have heard about the healthy benefits of them @dgobucks226. I am doing the same but this time I have not cooked chicken soup and gargle with salt water. I will definitely do them all next time I fall not well. Thank you.

I don't know really. Sometimes chicken broth or what I normally do, soda. Just depends on my mood I guess. Or how sick I really am.

It's been a long time since I've been sick (knock on wood); but a cup of hot tea would be good. I'm so glad you are feeling better.

Knock on wood. I drink a lot of hot tea every day besides water. I am glad about that, too. Thank you @LindaOHio.

When I make chicken soup, I make 2 liters so I can freeze the leftover.
Thank you. I will.
